As another reviewer noted, you have to massage your dash panel to make this fit in a 1st gen FR-S. I haven't done that yet because I'm not sure I'm going to keep this installed. It's a huge upgrade from the base stock CD receiver, but is quite slow and likes to reboot. It take a fair amount of time to get going once turned on, but I've gotten use to that. The display is sometimes slow to respond, but the most annoying thing is it just randomly decides to reboot itself occasionally. This is a deal breaker for me. I'm probably going to get a higher end head touch screen head unit before I hack up my dash panel. There are no destructions included, just a QR code to some random person's YouTube vijeo installing this unit in their car. It did help, but what the heck. The Android Auto works quite well however and I can use other apps which is cool, but I really don't like the messages app being neutered for safety.4.20/5 starzzz.

Great upgrade to our car.
Installation went well with video assist. Screen interphase is so much more convenient for many phone functions. You will love it.

Not great at all
The volume control is super funky, not the knob the actual process, once you get to a certain level it goes from one notch increase to 10 at one jump. Bad call quality can never hear anything. This unit audio adjustments are only a fader and balance feature. The equalizer isokay but only when it's active. It seems it it goes back to normal settings whenever you turn off the radio. No I didn't mess up the install because it keeps the time just perfect. If your looking for something you can tweak the audio to finely tune the audio this is not the unit. Like the other people said zero bass.

Installation wasn't that bad, it had the correct harness for my Scion xb.There is pretty good documentation and manual. That's not the problem. It's the unit itself...volume is all over the place...no sensitivity at all.My OEM radio still works but the screen went on the fritz...After installing this and going through the options and plating music...I pulled it out and reinstalled my old unit with no screen. I'd rather not have a display than use this unit.Maybe I got a lemon, but after a few hours of messing with it...I don't care anymore.Cannot recommend...though the install was painless.

(2010 Scion XB) Works fairly well once installed, difficult install, no aux connection
I installed a similar unit (different generic brand) in our Sienna several months ago and was impressed with how smooth the install was, so I was expecting thew same here. Installed this in my 2010 Scion XB and the install itself was not fun. Removing the old unit was easy, but the connectors did not completely match up even though this specifically lists my model. There was a grey connector with no matching plug, which I later found was for the audio and usb ports in the armrest console, so those no longer do anything. From there, there was a ton of frustration figuring out the mounting brackets. No instructions included and I just wen through a ton of trial and error trying several different configurations. Sadly, you can't really see how it's fits until putting the whole thing back together. I finally got it to work, but it's a super tight fit and my plastic trim is barely hanging on. I want to get back in and modify the mounting brackets with new holes to try to get a more precise fit.I'll also note that I have not yet hooked up the rear camera since it requires tapping into the power wires in the rear lights. I have some connectors for this, but haven't taken the plunge yet.Once turned on, I was able to bluetooth to the device and get it working with Android Auto fairly easily. Operationally, I've had no major issues with it. Sometimes it takes a few tries to connect to my phone, but usually auto-connects right away. Sometimes it reboots on its own (has done this a few times over the past few months), although this might be update related. Sometimes it drops me right into a "No media found" errorwhen it turns on which I just 'okay' out of. My daughter also uses it with her iphone and can only get Car Play to work via USB, so bluetooth doesn't work for her (I guess this isn't super uncommon with Apple). I will also mention that I do love the physical volume knob! My other unit ddoes not have this and it's the one feature I miss. I also have not yet been able to get the steering wheel controls to work - something mentioned it's configurable in the settings but I've played with a few things and can't get those to function. To be fair, I never really used them anyway.Overall, it works, and I think it's a nice upgrade from the stock system I replaced. Certainly not a flawless experience, and I'd have trouble recommending this specific unit, especially for the later Scion XB's - maybe the connectors and fit are great for other cars.

Perfect Upgrade for My Scion!
This QLED touch screen stereo completely transformed my car’s interior! The display is bright, clear, and super responsive, making it easy to navigate. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto work flawlessly, making hands-free calls and music streaming effortless. Installation was straightforward, and I love that it keeps the OEM steering wheel controls for a seamless experience. The included backup camera is a great bonus, adding extra safety. If you’re looking for a modern, high-quality upgrade for your Scion, this is the one to get! Highly recommend!
