Decoy Heron Bird Scarer (784) Protect Your Pond from Heron, Birds, Cats.

Looks good at the edge of my pond. I haven't had another visit from the live heron, as far as I am aware, so hopefully it is doing just what I wanted.

I live in a flat in a city centre and of late have been troubled by very persistent pigeons trying to nest on my balcony. Having heard that a model of a bird scares them away - I bought the heron. Even a month after 'installation" - i.e. duct tape around the feet to fix it to the top rail) it certainly scares me when I half-asleep/half awake wander into the kitchen in the morning. But does it scare the pigeons. There certainly are fewer - and no sign of eggs now. Full scientific confirmation of whether this is because the nesting season has come to an end, or if it's the heron doing its bit, will have to wait for next year's breeding season.It does look very elegant and attractrive - and even if it hasn't worked, it's certainly generated lots of neighbourly conversation in my quarter - so it's done wonders for community building.

Certainly seems to have deterred my unwanted visitor.A little flimsy where stand locates onto bird hence only 4 stars.

This bird is nothing short of superb! All the more so when you consider the price. Garden statues today cost a small bomb, one this size - albeit it is plastic, would cost close to £100. The thing is once it is planted in your garden or by the pond or whereever, you don't know it is plastic. The only thing I would say is (and you will see this from the photo) you will need to secure the legs otherwise the bird really will fly away LOL

This product is now protect my fish pond from a persistent heron who thought my fish were there just to keep it well fed. Still getting the heron he just flies straight over the garden

The Decoy Heron Bird Scarer looks rather nice by the pond, Quite realistic from a distance. Sadly it did not scare the heron off or the cat, so I have resorted to other methods.

On delivery this looks so life like. However after a year the paint has peeled off, so it just looks like a white plastic bird

Nice looking garden ornament but it does not deter herons. A heron has been in my pond this morning and I don't yet know if there are any fish left. Will have to wait a few days in case they are hiding. I bought this hoping to keep the heron away, it obviously doesn't, so don't bother buying it.
