So I already have the Kinera Gramr iem cable with boom mic and wanted to give this cable a try and do a small comparison. Overall I like this cable and it matches my 7hz Sonus iems pretty good. The mic on this cable is fairly good but I wouldn’t say as good as the Kinera Gramr mic, maybe a 10-15% difference in clearness and sound quality. This cable is lighter and doesn’t drag the iem out of my ears like the other cable due to its heavier design. The cable itself looks better on the Kinera Gramr. Now that cable is about $15 more and doesn’t seem to be available anymore so this cable seems like the better choice if you need something now. I do wish this cable had a better mic but it’ll get the job done and I had zero complaints so far and I love that this cable has a mic mute switch on the in line controls. Definitely a good cable options on sale especially if you need a iem cable with boom mic option. The boom mic is removable if needed and comes unattached and is easy to put together.

I wanted to like this product. It has a ton of potential for me. As a person who often uses IEMs, this presented an ideal solution for when I travel, or away from my desktop and need to do a video conference. Unfortunately, I could not get the mic to work for the life of me.To give some context, I am relatively tech-proficient. When I could not get a working signal, I assumed it had to be an issue on my end. I double and triple-checked to ensure proper connection. I tried it on multiple devices including directly into my laptop, via dongle into my phone, as well as plugging directly into a professional audio interface attached to my desktop computer. While I was able to have the microphone recognized, I was unable to get any consistent signal pickup. Even when fully pushed, I was only able to get 3% pickup via Windows sound.As far as the cable goes, the quality is acceptable and the sound quality when paired with IEMs is good. I just wish the mic worked.Hopefully, any hardware issues will be resolved with revisions, but I cannot recommend this as a communication tool when it lacks functionality in its most crucial feature.

I was expecting better quality from this add on. The sound coming through this mic is subpar, IMHO. It's very compressed and already sounding like you were on a challenged phone connection... and that's before it goes through compression and whatever else you have happening on zoom/phone/whatever other calls you may use it for. I think there's a lot of room for improvement here!

I was looking for something that worked as a cable upgrade to another Kinera IEM (the Black Wyvern) and this fit the bill AND offered the microphone. As far as differences go, this cable isn't overly stiff and attaches securely to the IEMs. Attachment of the microphone/boom mic took some time but wasn't overly difficult - however, the mic attachment is heavy and I feel its weight on my ear as it pulls down on the IEM unit on it is attached to. If the fit isn't good of your IEM, it may cause it to be more prone to falling out of your ear, especially if you are moving around with it. Thankfully, you can opt not to use it but it would leave the mic contacts open and vulnerable to the elements.

Mic quality is great, fit is great, build is very strong. Connection is super stable and the fit is actually more comfortable than a lot of regular IEM cables. The detachable mic is a nice touch for when you just don't need it and the inline mute and volume controls work great and overall this cable is perfect for people that want to use IEMs instead of headphones but don't want the hassle of a desktop mic or the bad quality of an inline cable mic. Great product.
