Olmec Foods the Original Chia Seeds, 1 lb, 16 oz

Came in a nice shaker container, which is nice, though i guess not needed. Personally, I prefer a plastic container over a bag. Seeds were nice and clean. Can't say for sure a personal overall improvement from eating them, but definitely no negative side effects. Took a couple days for my digestive system to.... adjust. If you are looking to try out chia seeds, I think this is a great way to start. Get a lot of bang for you buck, volume wise, without having to make a big investment or end up stuck with an excessive amount if you decide you don't like them.

I am very please with my Chia from Olmec Foods. I really like the convenience of the shaker top. It makes it easy to sprinkle Chia into just about anything! The seeds are clean and high quality. I have been using Chia in my diet for the past few years and benefit from all of the minerals, vitamins and fiber.I especially appreciate that Olmec Foods grows and processes its Chia in Mexcio, providing assistance to local farmers. The attractive container sits on my counterop so I can add Chia to just about anything.Great product at a great price!

I sprinkle chia seeds on my morning toast with peanut butter. Taste good and adds some more crunch. Hopefully, it's also healthy.I gave it a 4 star since I have no way to determine its health benefits.I've reordered this at least once, so it's a testament to its satisfactory usage.

I love this brand of chia seeds, in fact I have re-ordered this brand twice already. It has an excellent flavor and I use this in many of my low-cal recipes. Chia seeds are low in calories and makes an excellent pudding when combined with almond milk. The price is comparable to other brands and in fact runs lower than many of the other brands. I would definitely recommend this Olmec Foods Chia Seeds if you are looking for a good quality healthy choice.

This is the second brand of chia seeds that I have tried. The other was Costco's Kirkland brand which I love because they make a kind of tapioca texture which is refreshing and very filling. I put them in juice water mix. These seeds do not plump up in liquid very well. They seem to settle at the bottom and form into a glob. I wouldn't order them again.

The Chia seeds have been good so far other than the tiny literal rocks that i crunch into as i get towards the bottom of my chia bowl (almond milk, seed, fruits). I have spit them out and they are about the size as a chia seed, dark black, and definitely not a hard seed. They are tiny stones and i almost broke my tooth chomping into it. I will avoid this brand next time. I have never had this problem with any other brand. I wouldn't have even thought twice about it, but its now happened 3 times in a row. Now has me worried and cautious as i don't want to crack a tooth.

The seed is as good as the others I have used from our local groceries. Thus far I have experienced no gritty particles as in some brands - though this has been an issue when I reach the bottom of the package and I have only just started using this brand. I especially like the container and the ease of use that it provides.

These can be used in so many ways. I love it in salads and cereal. One of my favs is that is a kitten or cat has diarrhea, you can put chia seeds in their food and it will take care of the problem.
