Keeps the rain (and I imagine snow) out!
Install 2 of these to a remodeled home, 2-story back doors. They add height and trimming the doors is a must. However, as evidenced by our recent rains, it works extremely well; I also added rubber sweepers as an extra precaution. The molding proved a bit challenging, but by using a flathead screwdriver and slowly working the edges into the grooves, it stays in. The second install was a breeze.

Great product at a great price
Great product at a great price, looks great, but this one was too high and the other option too low. Managed to correct but could not use the rubber insert. Also, the rubber insert is difficult to attach but works well once you do. Better instructions would be helpful. I tapped in using a large screwdriver.

Perfect bronze match
I have several of these thresholds as they match the bronze finish in my bathroom. I ended up putting them all thru the house after putting laminate flooring down.

Vinyl Strip was easy to install with dish soap and water
I bought this product to replace an existing threshold in which the vinyl weather strip had worn out. rather than just replacing the strip I decided I would replace the entire threshold since the existing threshold was tarnished and I figured I could use fresh start. A lot of people say it's a bear to install the vinyl strip. I didn't find that to be the case. The instructions say to use soap and water to lubricate the strip to make easier to insert. That's what I did. I started at one end and worked my way down while my son followed behind applying pressure to keep it from popping out. The whole process took less than twenty minutes and I have a great seal at the bottom of my door. In the dark I tried shining a flashlight under the door to see if I could see light from the other side. I could not see even a glimmer of light!

Handy!
So much nicer than having cords across the floor! Very heavy and secure.

Does the job but may present an installation challenge
First off, if you are expecting a Bronze color then get used to having something way closer to Black, not even Brown as printed on the package. I returned the first one thinking the color was a mistake. Second, you first fit and screw the threshold to the floor (forget the picture, the screws are UNDER the seal) You do Not slide the rubber seal into the grooves from an end, you squeeze the seal and then push the hooked edges in the channel slots from both sides starting at one end while pressing down with the heel of your hand to fully seat the hooks into the channels.Next you may find a problem with the height. The total standoff is closer to 3/4" than 5/8" and that extra 1/8" is a bi**h to compress with the door by only using reasonable force. I used silicon spray to initiate an initial closing and hope that the compression over a few days will weaken the seal resistance. Mine was actually a replacement of the same product in Silver because the seal wore out and crimped.I remember actually setting the door on the first threshold to get the proper hinge heights and alignments. This unit can go either way for you to install, but does seal well. You might have to shim or bevel the door bottom depending on your setup.

Awesome door threshold !!!!!
Old threshold was worn out and had issues with constant ''howling'' from wind back draft coming through windows. I would lay down towels every night to attempt and muffle howling wind. After installing this product, I've had zero audible wind noice. This has made such a huge difference. Super stoked. I did have to purchase a hack saw from the local hardware store to trim the aluminum threshold to size. Very easy installation.

Cumplió mis expectativas
Muy bonito y quedó bien en la puerta, lo único malo es mi piso que el albañil lo dejo como siempre fuera pirámide, así que forzo un poco la puerta para que cierre, pero no es problema del umbral

Poor design
The threshold was exactly what I needed, but how can u screw it down between the door flame, then slide the rubber on after. The screw holes are under the rubber. You can’t!! If you drill holes in the rubber then yes, but that defeats the purpose. Very unfortunate because the threshold was perfect for my needs.

Do not buy
The seal doesn't fit into the channel. The fact that the instructions tell you to use soap and water tells me that the company is aware of this issue and is making a poor attempt to rectify it. Embarrassing quality control
