Are you or someone you love addicted to mutant reptiles? Do you enjoy stunning martial-arts action in a half-shell? Are you interested in the work of folks like Jack Kirby and Frank Miller, but already read all their stuff?No matter the reason, these hardcover volumes of the greatest sensation to come out of the 80s deserve a place in your home.Beautiful over-sized tomes presented in the original black and white at a price you can afford, complete with notes from both Eastman AND Laird!It is easy to see why the TMNT have endured for so many years. If you're new to the franchise, perhaps through the excellent Nickelodeon show, or even the newer comics by IDW, than do yourself a favor and pick this classic up. Grab the whole set. It's well worth the price.If you have a loved one that has only experienced the horror that was Michael Bay's "Interpretation" of the series, then be a hero and get them a copy of the Ultimate Collection. Don't let their suffering continue any longer than necessary!And for those scant few that felt the new film was a fine addition, than go back to these classics and be made aware of your shame!Turtles Forever!

Buying comics off Amazon can be dangerous but 8/10 has been a greta experience for me . Great read ITS TURTLES COME ON!!!

I've been looking for something like this to complete my collection of Eastman & Laird Mirage Turtle comics for awhile now. The price on Amazon is much more reasonable than what a typical comic shop will charge (if you can find it). There are only a few things that detract from the overall presentation:1) Made in Korea. At least it is not made in China, but I'm a consumer who will pay a premium for items made in the USA.2) The format hides some details in the two page spreads (mainly battle scenes) that you can see in the comic and previous soft cover collections. Nothing huge or anything that detracts from the story, but it is a shame to have such a large format and not be able to see some details.3) Seems that Laird wasn't as keen on adding his comments in the annotations. The vast majority of the comments are from Eastman.

I ordered 3 of these volumes at a time. This one was the least damaged but has light damage to the cover (edges crimped and a crease).

My wife purchased this for me for my birthday (30th). I'm a big kid and was a huge turtles fan growing up. The artwork and storyline in this collection of issues is great! Beautiful ornate books, full color hardback with a nive strong spine. Inside issues are black and white. Huge pages to accentuate the details of the artwork, those guys did so much with just a black pencil, phenomenal shading work. Highly recommend to any fan!

Volume two was as perfect as the first one. Full of excitement and fun that I would never experience in any other fiction except Batman, maybe. TMNT will always be my favorite, and nothing can change my mind.

The media could not be loaded.  More sci-fi, quirky and less grounded in reality compared to the previous collection. Also a quite interesting cameo by Cerebus the Aardvark.

Die materielle Qualität dieses Buchs ist die gleiche, wie schon beim ersten Band. Genauso Größe, Dicke und Gewicht.Inhaltlich wird die Geschichte der Turtles fortgesetzt. Für mich war das Lesen dieses Bandes, gerade in Verbindung mit den Annotationen von Peter Laird und Kevin Eastman, doch emotionaler als ich dachte. Denn mit diesem Band endet eine Ära. Die Verbindung zwischen dem Ende der letzten Geschichte und dem was die Schöpfer zu dieser Zeit schreiben hat mich doch mehr berührt als ich dachte. Man merkt beim Lesen der Geschichte richtig, wie hier auf ein Ende, oder einen Umbruch, in der weiteren Entwicklung der vier Schildkröten und ihrer Schöpfer hin gearbeitet wird.Inhaltlich sehr schön, tolle Geschichten und informative Notizen der Schöpfer, die einen guten Einblick hinter die Kulissen gewähren!

A very enjoyable read which at times is funny and joyful especially the first Christmas story. Has sad moments, wise sections, has some very creative outside the box bits. If you liked the original TV show but want something a bit more serious this is it. Drawings are top notch too and they look better than the cartoony kids original show imo. Definitely give it a go. Even though it's black and white this is no issue. Maybe better for this.
