13X15 Natural Linen Bread Bag Set of 2 Bags

I purchased 2 sets of these bread bags, to try them out. I am a home baker and I'm always looking for new products to try. I also teach baking classes and often am asked, by my students, to recommend products.I was drawn to these bags for my crusty loaves, that I do not want to store in plastic bags. When I received my order they were packaged well.Upon examining them, they are very well made, a good generous size, and the perfect thickness. They are heavy enough to protect your loaves, but lightweight enough to allow for air flow. I expect to purchase more in the future.

I love the idea of a reusable bag for my homemade bread. I bought these hoping to reduce my plastic use. I didn't realize the bag would shrink nearly a full 2 inches upon being washed, making it hard to fit a large loaf in there. I still like them for my loaves, but I have to cut them in order to fit it in the bag sometimes, and I have to cover them with something else to keep moisture in the bread. Once the bread is cut, the linen doesn't help keep any moisture in the bread, meaning that within two days, the loaf is hard as a rock, at least if you live in the desert where the humidity is low. Perhaps keeping it in the fridge would help to maintain moisture, but that takes away from bread flavor. I've started using these bags for larger produce items rather than always using them for bread because of this problem.

Nice bags, hold my Artisans homemade bread fresh. They wash up nicely, very little soap and NO laundry freshener or softener. Hang to dry, I will be ordering more so I have a couple fresh ones on hand. Just as nice as the higher priced ones, would Highly recommend.

It works for its purpose but once you wash it, it turns wrinkle.....
