You have to buy according to the year and laptop that you own. I verified this before buying. The battery fit my laptop perfectly and turned it on right away. This took my old laptop and made it useable again. I'm grafetul.

I started by watching an online video on replacing the battery in my laptop. It turns out it is simple. 6 screws to remove the cover and 4 screws to remove the battery. They provided 2 screwdrivers, but they did not fit the 2 screws at the bottom corners of my laptop. Luckily, I have a good set of mini bits and had the proper star bit (T5) for those. There is one issue with the screws. The top 4 screws are under the rubber bumper. You will not be able to reuse it so a replacement bumper will be needed. With the cover off, there are just 4 screws, marked with arrows on the battery, to remove. There is a speaker wire on the left side attached to the battery that you need to separate from the battery (easy) and then carefully disconnect the battery connector. Reconnect the speaker wire, push in the battery connector to the new battery, then screw it all back together and that’s it. The case was a little tricky to get back in place because it is a very accurate fit. I found that getting the bottom in first then working the 2 sides worked. When done I was surprised at how long the new battery lasts! It’s now working like new.
