I got the Biossance Pro-Peptide Lip Perfector in the shade Supernova. It was made in the USA with an impressive list of hydrating ingredients and zero petrochemicals. It's a sheer berry shade, and it doesn't feel sticky or have an unpleasant flavor or aroma.I'm a natural redhead with very fair skin and freckles, and my lips are just slightly pinker than the rest of my skin. I'm including a photo of what a thin application of Supernova looks like on me.Since the ingredients aren't currently listed on this page. While this is a lovely lip balm (I'd classify it more as a lip gloss to be honest), I wouldn't say that it has met all the clinical claims it makes.It states 24 hour hydration but I had dried lips after several hours, now I was drinking water from a straw and what not but I wasn't wiping my lips with a napkin or anything.It states instantly appears more voluminous...ehh that is definitely debatable--were my lips shiny? Yes. Did they look more voluminous? Not really.What they did hit spot on was that immediately after application my parched lips felt rescued.I'll give them credit because the scent is slightly vanilla and normally I cannot stand any vanilla scented products but it was mild enough that I didn't mind at all. It did it's job for a nice lip gloss but I honestly wouldn't say that it was that much better than other shiny lip gloss type products, maybe a bit but not by the price tag difference problem.

I’ve been using Biossance for years! I started using this company before they became mainstream and available in places like Sephora, and it’s one of the first clean beauty brands I tried. They create such good products, so I had high expectations for this lip balm. Let me just say, it definitely delivered!This particular balm is formulated with pro-peptides, which improves the overall health of your lips so they look full and healthy. It also contains squalane (which is a key ingredient in so many of their products) and micro-encapsulated hyaluronic acid, both of which moisturize and support the lip barrier.The texture of this balm is smooth and on the thicker side, which I love, and it leaves a glossy finish. It’s a balm, so expect to reapply it (lasted at least 3 hours for me before I needed to touch-up). I received this in the “supernova” color, and this berry color is beautiful! I love balms with color because it feels like I’m getting the best of both worlds. Lastly, this has a pleasant and faint vanilla scent.Overall, I would happily repurchase this balm! It’s has great ingredients, has a lovely berry color, is easy to throw in my purse for on the go, and best of all, it makes my lips feel healthy and nourished!

I’ve been obsessed with the Biossance Pro-Peptide Lip Perfector since I got it! It’s incredibly moisturizing and leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated for hours. The squalane, peptides, and hyaluronic acid combo works wonders, and it's so easy to apply—perfect for daily use. I love how compact it is, so I can just throw it in my purse and take it everywhere. The clear finish is great for a natural look, or as a base under lipstick. I’ll most definitely be repurchasing this!

The short of it:Staying powerSmoothing and moisturizingIt worksA bit priceyI wasn’t sure how a higher priced lip balm like Biossance would work better than the over the counter ones we all know. But I took a chance because its beneficial moisturizing ingredients such as peptide, squalane, hyaluronic acid and more, that the others don’t contain. Glad I did because it’s better than any I have used to date.It glides on with the application tip and gives your lips a shiny satin finish and has a smoothing effect on lips. It feels great, it’s not sticky as lip products go. Maybe a mild scent/taste of vanilla? But very mild if any. It has more staying power than any I have used and it works well for me. You don’t have to use a lot if you give it a sec to warm up and soften on your lips before spreading.

It's been enjoyable to use so far. Basic squeezy tube that's easy to apply. The texture isn't too thick or heavy. It feels nice on and doesn't feel sticky. The pink color is very sheer but adds the slightest tint to your lips. Nice for day i'm not wearing any makeup.

I don't wear lipstick but when I go out I prefer a little color and shine on my lips. I like this glossy balm because it also helps with my dry lips in addition to the subtle pink shimmer. It doesn't last all day like the description claims but I usually only need to reapply it after I eat. You can probably find something similar for a lower price point but I am a fan of the Biossance brand so I think it's worth it since it does have a lot of beneficial ingredients.
