Great wall mount range hood for low ceiling
I did a lot of research before choosing this Kobe. First, it's the only company that lists products that are suitable for lower ceilings. Mine is 7' 4". All the videos are for high ceilings. Second, quality and customer relations sounded good in other reviews. Third, I like the push buttons - no computer keypad switches. One issue is that the item was shipped sitting on styrofoam and it had crushed the styrofoam, leading to tiny pellets being all over and inside the unit. Had to vacuum it out, but those things get everywhere. Kobe: consider adding a sheet of thick paper to keep that damage from happening.Installation: you've got to install blocking behind the drywall because the mounting screws are only about 8" apart. Doing this and repairing the drywall took the most time.Where I had the biggest problem was installing the cover over the chimney. Kobe gives you two pieces, one that slides inside the other, so you can make it longer or shorter, as needed. There's a mounting bar to install at the very top of the wall with screws that go into the inside (higher) piece. Either you mount the cover first and then push the range hood up into it (which is hard because you can't see the mounting screws), or you put the hood on the wall first and then add the cover. I tried it both ways and the second worked best. I didn't end up using the inside cover piece. Instead, I raised the hood until it was the right height for just one cover piece. Why? First, the screws had to be put in right where my crown moulding is, which would have meant removing all of that and I didn't want to do that. One last thing, there are little 0.25" nubs on the hood that this cover piece has to rise up and over to sit on. That means there's a quarter of an inch space between the cover and my ceiling. I can live with it. If my ceiling were higher I would definitely have used the second cover piece. Maybe KOBE can sell a shorted cover piece for low ceilings? Also, reviewers say wildly different things about noise. This is probably because of how they build the exhaust system. I used smooth-walled 6" woodstove pipe and went straight up through the roof and used a large gooseneck roof vent with cross sectional area at least the area of the vent pipe (pi*3^2 = 27 square inches). This pipe offers the least resistance and you get the best flow and the noise will be very low. In fact I can hardly tell it's on in Q mode. The strongest speed (H) is not bothersome and is highly effective. Don't vent using accordion pipe that you'd use for a dryer and don't add any bends if you can and don't buy a plastic vent hood from a big box store.

Does its work.
It does its job of keeping the cooking smell away. The noise level comes with the function.

Its loud even on quiet and flow is way lower than claimed!
Hood arrived with a slight bend on the back edge. Luckily, it was minor enough I could bend it back with hands and pliers over a cloth. Expect yours to arrive with some damage as well because the product is just too loose in the box. Should have used custom molded foam instead of just flat foam board. On the install, instructions are worthless. Here is what you need to know. Go to the hardware aisle at The Depot and buy 75 lb wall anchors. Install two of them 30" or so (what works best for you family's height) above the cooktop and 8 3/8" apart (use a level). Lift range into position. Check level on the range hood, then remove from wall to adjust brackets as needed (mine was not set level from the factory). Install two additional anchors on the wall 1/2" from the ceiling and install bracket from the kit. Install sleeve to cover ducts. Note that the electrical wiring is really short, so plan your connection accordingly. Also, it is impossible that this hood is 1.0 sone on quiet. I have newly installed bathroom vents that are 1.2 sones and way quieter than this range hood. It is barely quiet enough to have a loud conversation. On low (aka medium), you cannot have a conversation without shouting.Update after a few months of use. Reduced rating to 1 star. No way that this hood has the 700 CFM (air flow) that it states. I have it connected to a very large duct for low restriction, so it should have the highest flow possible. It has a very low flow even on the highest and loudest setting. Cooking anything inevitably allows smoke and fumes into the house. You can watch the fumes hit the hood and simply slip over and around it due to such low flow and suction. Its a nice looking hood, but is way over priced for the performance. Should have paid the extra and went with a reputable brand known for high flow hoods.

Fair performance - easy to install
Arrived damaged, but Kobe customer service and Amazon were great. Took two tries, but finally received an undamaged hood.I didn't find this too noisy even at the highest level, but I am disappointed in the suction. No way this is 680 CFM. This unit looks nice and is a great price, but you get what you pay for. If you have a high BTU range, and require high air flow, I suggest to look elsewhere.

Overall Great Range Hood
We purchased this hood for our new kitchen. It is very stylish and very quiet, and seems to be pretty good at extracting the smoke while cooking. Our installers had a little issue with the extension while installing but it all worked out fine. I would recommend!

Great hood
This is a great hood. Installation was just 2 screws for the main body; and 2 near the ceiling for the exhaust cover. No need for a manual. But you will need to do your 6" ductwork, which is a task. After a lot of research, this seemed to be a good value. The big box arrive so promptly. The hood is attractive, gets compliments form family and friends, and very easy to use. The three speeds correspond to: Q = barely noticeable, and easy to have a conversation; M = noticeable, but not intolerable, ok for talking, good for routine cooking; H = loud and also pulls a LOT of air, ok for smokey cooking. One criticism: I don't love the LED lights which are too focused on the front, and the light color quality is not the best (compared to an incandescent/halogen).

Its ok, not a high end product
installation on a tiled wall is not convenient, performance is just ok, noise level two high
