This one was really unexpected. I have a large storage closet that I use to keep inventory for my business stored in an organized fashion. There was one persistent problem with my storage space though, that no matter what type of light bulb I tried to use to brighten that space up, none of them worked at all. I tried 3 or 4 different types of bulbs before I found this one.When I first opened the box, I thought this bulb looked almost like a comedy prop, because this light bulb is huge in size with a normal bulb's sized screw in base. I ensured the wattage was going to be safe for my residence's electrical wiring, which it is, and I went to my storage closet to give the great big light bulb a try.And the big bulb said unto me, LET THERE BE LIGHT! Seriously, though, it is amazing! It fits perfectly. It doesn't overload the breaker. And my storage space is finally perfectly well lit that I can see all my inventory labels and keep things clean and organized with no issues of working in the dimly lit space it was before. Excellent product, so glad I found it and gave it a rry!

It worked

The LED bulb is awesome. It is larger in size than standard bulbs, but with an energy consumption of 30Watts, the bulb emits light equivalent to an incandescent bulb of 250-300Watts. The bulb emits daylight white light, which is brighter than soft white light. The bulb is large and may not fit a recessed light receptacle, but is good for open bulb holders. So I use in my garage where I require lot of light at my work table.

The high-ceiling, attached garage on my 100-year-old house has only one screw-in lamp-holder way up in a back corner. While there is also a fluorescent fixture and garage-door opener bulbs (recently converted to high output LED’s), they struggle to light the garage properly in the evening. This ‘Super Bright’ bulb fits the lamp-holder nicely and provides the light output of several ‘normal’ light bulbs without overloading the 100-year-old knob and tube wiring. This helps a lot. I particularly like that the cover on the bulb diffuses the light and it is very light (in weight) so I have no worries on that front. The photos show the area lit by the compact florescent bulb I used to have in the fixture and lit by this new Super Bright bulb. It is easy to see the improvement even though the ‘before’ photo includes light from the garage door opener and the ‘after’ photo does not.

This bulb is excellent for a large room or outdoors. Very bright. It’s about medium size. Larger than a regular bulb. About the size of a large grapefruit or small melon in pill shape. Lights up the entire room very white bright light. Excellent for cleaning if you don’t want to use it all the time, it will definitely show you where you need to dust, vacuum, etc. five stars.

See the images with this review for a comparison to a standard A19 size bulb.While this bulb is bright, it isn't as bright as a device with its claimed lumen output should be. After dark, I compared the light output with my existing LED lights, and found the light output was on par with my bathroom fixture that consists of three 8.5W LED lights with an advertised output of 1000 lumens each. I had expected something closer to a 60W garage light I have that has an advertised output of 6000 lumens.The claimed amount of lumens also varies depending on where one looks. Currently the title of the product listing states, "exceed 5000LM", while the text in the product listing states, "exceed 5400Lm", while the package it arrives in lists "4500lm".I also note two of the images in the product listing claim a CRI > 90, but the package itself lists "CRI 80".Actual power usage measured as 43.82 watts (see image) per an energy monitoring smart plug, rather than the stated 50 watts.The item ships with a small plastic cap covering the screw connection (as illustrated in one of the images).I cannot recommend this, as in my opinion there are better choices that exist.

This bulb is huge. I was planning on using this in the house, but it's way to big. This does work well in my garage, which tends to run dark. This isn't the brightest bulb I've used, but it's still pretty bright. I'll use it until it blows, but I won't get it again.

I replaced a 60W equivalent LED bulb in my garage with this and it really makes a difference.
