Fun for kids and adults
I got this for my 9yo for Christmas and he loves it. My husband and I take turns dueling with him and it's so much fun for the family. Just get a package of balloons and some batteries and it's ready! The controls work surprisingly well.

Fun
Fun to play. I wish arms move higher so it punctures balloons quicker.

These are all the fun and then some! Perfect fun for kids of every age!
This honestly makes me feel like a kid and I love it so much!!I didn't know if this would work too well because the arms seemed a bit short and the movements not so powerful, but to my surprise, the balloons pop and kind of quickly!I will say, blowing them up full size, not tying them up, and making sure to put the goggles on, add that extra bit of pressure to help them along popping. The robots need three double A's the remote need two triple A's so the whole set needs 10 batteries (4 triple A's 6 double A's) in total to work.We did notice that the red robot ran down quicker, but I'm not sure if I had installed batteries that were already partially used, but after replacing them, the robot was far less sluggish and seemed to have a much better punch and lunge into the other robot.Sometimes even after letting go of the controllers buttons, it still ran forward and wildly swung it's arms, I am not sure if this is a glitch, or if You "button mash" the robots go crazy! :DWhen we first set them up, I didn't realize we weren't supposed to tie the balloons, You're actually supposed to wrap the ends around the 'v' shaped portion of the head piece. The balloon holder piece is removeable from the bot body, so it's easier to attach the balloons without popping them.We did end up tying one in the beginning (you can see how that worked out in the video :D )But that balloon would NOT pop!! The head actually got socked off without ever popping, so if You take anything from this, make sure NOT to tie it, so popping them is much simpler. The Set comes with two bots, a red and a blue, two controllers, a black with red buttons and a black with blue buttons, two sets of eyes/Masks two clear bands to hold the Masks in place and 24 balloons (I believe they're 9 inch balloons).Obviously the batteries aren't included and this could be kinda pricey to replace, the batteries last awhile, but as they wear down, it gets harder and harder to pop the balloons, the needles retract, so it needs that oomph and juice to push the needles out so keep that in mind. The main complaint both my husband and I had, was battery replacement is not only expensive, it's fairly annoying and inconvenient, as You need a mini screwdriver x all four pieces, which can be a drag if You're really having fun then have to stop and swap them all out. BUT, after that, it's a flippin' blast!!!We gave this to the kids for Christmas, and the night before, My hubby and I installed the batteries and tried them out (or, ahem, played with them for awhile) before wrapping them up and we had such a KICK!!We were laughing and really getting into it, the bots are strong enough to knock each other down, or as we experienced, knock each other's heads off, and we were so loud with it, we actually woke up my son, who came in to investigate what the noise was! :DWhich brings me to my next point/another cool thing about these bots is they make "fight' noises, bells ding like rounds in boxing and the bots yell "ya!" "huh!" and "hiya!".I'd use 9 inch balloons for replacement as this game is fun and You'll likely need replacements quickly!I would give this a five star if it didn't need so many batteries but overall I really really like it and I'd give it a happy four stars!
