This set contains just about everything you need to play Santa in reasonable comfort and style.The fabric of the suit is soft red velvet, as you'd expect it to be, but some care was given to choosing the best weight. Some Santa suits are so thin and cheap that they just look fake. Expensive mall-Santa suits can be genuine, durable, and heavy, but weighted more for use at the North Pole than under photographer's hot lights. This fabric is sufficiently sturdy for the purpose without being any thicker than it has to be to achieve the correct look.The suit also is thoroughly detailed with regal touches to add some class, like gold braid and fancy buttons. Of course, up close you can tell that they are cheaply made, but they're sturdy enough and look great from a normal distance or in photos. I doubt the kids will be checking out whether Santa's pearl-centered buttons are real while they're sitting in his lap. In fact, the buttons are almost too fancy - you have to use some care buttoning and unbuttoning them so they don't snag.The fur trim is probably the most obviously fake part of the suit, but it's so thick and lush it's not a real negative.The belt is wide and beautiful - again, it's not genuine leather or brass, but works well and looks great. The boot covers add the expected fur trim to the top of Santa's black boots - I'll likely use them with black rubber rain boots, but any solid black closed shoe that's at least high-top and doesn't have laces would work fine.Santa's beard and wig are designed more to fit the expected stereotype than any reasonable reality, but it does a good job of being very, very thick, full, and curly. It's necessarily one-size-fits-all so you may need to do some extensive pinning, but combined with the hat, glasses, and the fur trim of the suit, you can achieve the desired effect.The bell, gloves, and glasses complete the look, and the bag, while smaller than it could be, has lovely touches like a gold-braided drawstring and filigreed "Merry Christmas" embossed on it in large letters. Don't expect to fit many, or large, present boxes into it, but it'll work well for small gifts.I found the sizing to be pretty much exactly what I expected. The suit jacket is cut extra full, but that's good because Santa is supposed to be well-padded himself, and if you personally aren't you should stuff a pillow in there. The pants are basically elastic sweatsuit-style, and seem to have a lot more stretch than other similar pants, which is great - they'll stay on even if you aren't fat, and they can also stretch to hold in the bottom of a pillow if you decide to use one for extra padding.This suit will work great for Christmas parties and events. I'm not sure how well it would last if you needed to wear it for an entire day - you could probably get away with it, but it would be pretty well done by the end, because I have a hard time imagining how it can be cleaned. You certainly cannot wash it in your normal washer, and I'm not even sure dry-cleaning would be successful as there are too many detail elements that might get damaged or lost.Christmas comes but once a year, though, and you aren't likely to use it for more than a couple hours each season. At that rate, it should be useful and beautiful for many years to come.

It feels like a light-weight velvet, which I think must be a plus. I've never played Santa before, not even Mrs. Santa, but I do remember seeing Santas year after year with sweat pouring down their faces as they sit in bright lights being photographed with dozens of children all day long.I love the soft white faux fur trimming the Santa suit. The white fake hair and beard feels scratching- more like doll hair than a real-hair wig. The product listing calls it "Opulent Golden Brocade Ribbon" adorning the suit. To me, that's the cheapest part. I thought the gold braid was rather tacky. I've seen better gold trim before. I don't hate it enough to want to replace it, but almost.I love that this is a complete set. It includes everything your volunteer needs to look the part. Hair, beard, glasses, gloves, even a little bell. Belt, jacket, pants, shoe covers, etc. All in one reasonably priced kit. If you're only going to wear this for one season, or for one day once a year, this is perfect. I would think if you wanted to play the part of Santa full-time, that you would probably want to get a real pair of boots instead of the fake shoe covers. But that's just my opinion. For the most part, I think this is a great set! I'm hoping my son is willing to play Santa for the grandchildren this year!This Santa Suit is for Adults, only. This is not a child's toy.

This is a very nicely made Santa costume! The gold touches, gift bag, bell, and wigs are all great! The one part they skimped on was a full boot covering. To make such a wonderful costume and leave out that simple touch really doesn't make sense

My husband wants to be Santa for Halloween and many of the Santa suits are not that great a quality. This deluxe Santa set is amazing! The quality is so nice. It’s so soft, even the lining is gorgeous and soft. The elastic waist band of the pants is thick and flexible, I guess to stick a pillow “tummy” inside of. The gold and burgundy colors are also a nice touch. It makes him seem like a classic Santa vs. a more modern one. It comes with everything you need except for actual shoes. But the boot covers are a good addition. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the bag. It looks fine but it was different color red and wasn’t as nice a quality as the suit. I still recommend this

Every year Santa makes an appearance at our home as we host friends and family at small events. While I've not said anything, this year Santa needed a bigger suit because he's been hitting the cookies a little harder than usual. Additionally, we were looking for a costume that included more of the pieces as previously we didn't have the everything as he needed.The Boveco Santa costume has 11 pieces for the perfect Santa outfit. From the bag and gloves to the facial hair and hat. First, it's important to mention it fit as sized. The fabric was soft material and looked great with the deep red and bright white combination. I was really impressed with the quality of the pieces as well. Each one looks durable and detailed which really makes the Santa costume come together. After putting everything on, the suit looked great but with all the pieces, Santa looked adorable! I'd definitely recommend this Santa costume as it's a nice, complete costume for use during the holidays.
