South ShoreGascony 4-Shelf Storage Bookcase, Gray Maple

I just bought this item to place nice pictures in, in my office. I opened 'm the box and found a small dent on the top front of this item. Needless to say, it's too difficult to return it so I guess in just need to get used to it. I also bought a desk from the same manufacturer and the top of the desk had a large scratch, that's about 7 inches in length. Kind of disappointed but overall, I do like the desk and shelves.

I really love this bookshelf. I have bought it twice on two separate occasions. The first time, there was just a smaller nick in the top corner of the bookshelf. Definitely noticeable but I just figured it got damaged in transit. Bought a second bookshelf and this one came in even worse condition. Whole piece torn off at the top of the bookshelf. Looks awful and definitely noticeable. There are other damaged spots but this one is the worst. Other than that the bookshelf is very sturdy and relatively easy to put together.

It’s nice for what it is, it’s sturdy enough, but there are minor imperfections. Do not expect a perfect bookshelf, some of the pieces just don’t fit perfectly together and look a little wonky.

There is a part of the trim that is damaged. Also the holes for the trim were on the wrong side so I had to drill holes. Not the easiest to do. Would send it back but didn't keep box in good shape and don't want take it apart

Was easy to assemble although the components are not marked so take your time at start and ID which pieces. Actual assembly was easy. quality of the wood pieces were better than expected for the price adding extra value. the short coming of the design is the same as all DYI systems in this cost point and that is the backing, cardboard and seamed (taped). Although standard for this type of construction it takes a nice looking product and make it look cheaper due to how the back fits and looks. this is the same in this type of DYI case. The overall bookcase gets a 5 star and is solid when assembled. Looks really well with the home office while looking like a professional piece of furniture. I would have no issues on ordering the case again. Well done and looks to have been made in the US so bonus.

Very happy with this purchase. The shelf looks great in the home and is high quality. When compared to similar shelves at similar price points, this shelf was hands down the best option. Not only is it made of high-quality materials, but the shelf itself has decorative faceplates that really give it an expensive and complete look. We have had the shelf, for over a year, populated with some nice heavy books and have had no issues with warping or splintering. Would highly consider future purchases with this company.We did have a small issue when one of the shelves we received had no drill holes, but their customer service quickly sent out a replacement. Great Product and great service!

I purchased this shelf unit to be used as my game shelf. I've order many things via Amazon, and sometimes you just never know what your going to get. When I tell you this item is perfect, it's an understatement.I had all the parts needed to assemble, all the holes were drilled perfectly, and yes it is partical board, but the most thick and sturdiest I've ever worked with. It was so easy to assemble, I hardly needed the instructions. I will certainly be ordering more items from this company!! I am so thrilled to have found a company that makes great quality items, for a decent cost.One of my best purchases on Amazon for sure.

The packaging is not enough to prevent damage. Or the carrier (UPS in this case) doesn't know how to handle properly. I ordered three (3) of these for my daughter's bedroom. All the boxes were damaged and multiple parts in each box were damaged. Thankfully I could hide the damage, except for one trim piece that was damaged on the front and there's nothing I can do.Each book case took about 35 minutes to put together - not complicated. They look nice once up, but be wary of the packaging. If you have damaged parts, go to the manufacturer's website to get free replacement parts. And don't trust UPS/FedEx/USPS to deliver this without damaging it.

First of all, parts were missing when this arrived and had to be shipped by the manufacturer to me directly. That all worked out. It’s a nice bookshelf but overall cheaply made. It was easy enough to assemble and served its purpose but it definitely doesn’t have the refined / high quality look that you might get from, say, IKEA. It’s just OK.

Really nice book case. I put together myself and too my about 1.5hrs. Fairly simple. Happy and would purchase again.

This bookcase is very good value for the money. Arrived on time and came with easy to follow instructions on how to put it together. It also has 2 adjustable shelves which came in very handy. Really liked the grey colour and the size is perfect for the space we needed it for. A nice addition to the room. Very pleased with our purchase.

Furniture arrived far sooner than I thought it would. It's sturdier than Ikea, and looks sleek and classy in my room. Assembly was a little involved, and at one point I had some of the parts on backwards and had to reset them, but other than that, it wasn't too difficult.Perfect for someone who wants something a little nicer than department store furniture, but isn't quite ready to drop a lot of money for furniture.Looking forward to buying the rest of the pieces to finish the set.

Looks nice when it's all assembled! The shelves come with a trim that goes around the top and it really makes it look a lot nicer and more expensive than what you paid for it. It's a good price for what it is. A little flimsy on its on but once it has the weight of books on it, it's a lot sturdier. Overall satisfied, not anything special but it's a good price.
