Nice Bagger, At A Great Price
It's not top of the line but fits perfect on my 2012 46" Ariens. Would have gave 5 stars but like others have mentioned, it does appears to lack quality and it's a bit flimsy. I have an 1/2 acre to cut so this bagger will get plenty of use, I will update this review (as far as the durabilty) in the fall. The good: Low price bagger, Amazon is by far the lowest at ( $249.00 )plus free shipping. Only 10 to 15 minutes to assemble, less time if the tube gasket doesn't pop off. It's a recessed gasket so it can be frustrating to put back on. To avoid this from happening again I sprayed silicone on the tube to make it slide easier through the gasket. The shute also has a little red spinner device that will spin when the bags are full or nearly full. Only 4 bolts to the entire assembly. Note: The 4 bolts are self threading so tapping the holes is a waste of time and not even an Orangutan would drill the holes to a bigger size as mentioned by another reviewer. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS The not so good: On my tractor, the forward clip hole that holds the shute in position is located right behind a deck wheel. I tried a few times to clip it with my hands with no luck so I just used a pair of extra long, needle nose pliers. It also has small lightweight bags which may explain thier flimsyness. I would recommened this bagger to family members and friends with a caution that the long term durability could be an issue especially the bags and the hood.September 24th 2012 - The only flaw I've noticed is, the hood latch (which is only a bar) no longer holds the hood down causing some of the mowed grass to shoot out before going into the bags.Really not a deal breaker because of the savings, I now use a small stick to hold the hood in place. Easy solution and it works better than the bar. I had this problem with my last baggingsystem as well.I would still recommend.November, 2012 - Being cold out again, the hood is now staying in place.

Don't wait - go get you one NOW!!
My mower is an Arien's 42" Got it at Home Depot. Thanks to previous reviewers that indicated this bagger fits a 42" mower. It does fit...the attachment to the mowing deck is a little "off", but it fits. There are (2) hooked stretch connections that hold the bottom piece to the mower deck, you just make it as close as possible...no problem getting them to fit.Assembly - this couldn't be easier. It's very obvious these mowers are built for a bag attachment. The kit comes with all the hardware. I had to install (4) self tapping bolts...took about 1 min. Directions are easy and quick to install.Design - as noted, the mower was designed for a bagger. They have connectors and bolt holes in all the right places. The design is simple, but affective. There is enough flexibility in the chute to accommodate many combinations of deck height and side to side rolling movement. The bags themselves are lightweight and easy to remove. They are sized so when full they are still manageable. It took me about 5 mins from box to running time. The first test was a tough one...wet grass from a rain not an hour old. I figured I'd give it the toughest test first. NO PROBLEMS at all. I did slow down a bit, but it did the job. Please note... at changing of the bag when the grass is wet, you need to give the clippings time to travel to the bag before shutting down the mower. this was MY error... had some grass in the chute. My mistake gave me a chance to see how easy it is to clear. It was a snap. Literally. You pull off one rubber hook, separate the chute in two and two handfuls later the chute was clear (mower was off btw).Grass is growing faster than I can mow in KC..lots of rain + fertilizer = mow every 4-5 days. No more clumps left on the lawn for me.Price - I saved $100 on Amazon vs buying at the local big box home store. Score for Prime again.

Nifty bagger that serves its purpose well!
I am using this on my Ariens 46" lawn tractor. Assembly was easy and straight-forward; there aren't many pieces. The giant rubber grommet in which the large shoot goes into, is tricky at first, but once leaf dust and dirt gets onto the pipe that goes through it, it lets the pipe slide thru easily because the rubber is no longer "new" and "tacky".When sucking up leaves in the midst of autumn, the bags fill up crazy FAST (about 1-2 passes down the yard). The TRICK i learned (if you have a ton of leaves) is to mulch the leaves first - (1) disconnect/remove the bottom portion of the pipe, and install your mulch cover on the mowing deck, (2) run over the whole yard mulching all the leaves underneath, then (3) hook the pipe back up, and suck up the mulched leaves! Doing it this way, I was able to bag half the yard before emptying the bags (about 4-6 passes!) Things can get very dusty though when bagging leaves!! I read that someone put a plastic garbage bag inside the mesh bags and this helped(?) I will have to try that. It would also make it easy to remove the leaves instead of dumping them. Also, the bags couldn't be any easier and faster to remove. They simply slide right out, off the rails, and you can empty them and literally toss them back onto the rails in less than 15 seconds. The hand-strap underneath each bag makes it so easy to dump the bags over and shake them out - good thinkin Poulan!!Overall, this bagger is a great addition to a lawn tractor. It simply does what I need it to do, and it's made well!

Good value for the price
Felt like I'd won the the lottery as I've been looking for an available bagger for my 46" Poulin Pro mower for a while now. Normally when I found a fitting model it was out of stock or way over priced. This unit was the lowest price I'd seen in a while and I jumped at the chance. Shipping was super fast.ProsCost / Value.Direct fit and installed in less time then it took to unpack.Does not restrict use of the trailer hitch like other models.Grass chute disconnecting from bagger hood assembly (which was previously reported) has been resolved.Unit removes from tractor in seconds.Bags remove and empty with ease.Does a very good job of picking up all cuttings as well as leaves, sticks and my sons leggo.Handles heavy grass as long as you slow down the tractors rate of travel or reduce the width of your cut.ConsBagger hood latch flimsy and won't stay closed. Had to add a bungy cord to keep closed. The gauge to indicate flow through grass chute unreliable.TipsSlow your tractor speed down or you will plug the chute. Don't expect to keep the same tractor speed when cutting grass as you did prior to using a bagger. It takes longer to finish but you have nothing to rake.Wet grass will plug the unit.I did add a few coats of turtle wax to the inside of the grass chute to help things along.Do not use mulching blades with the bagger. The grass discharges too slow for the chute.Don't leave grass cuttings in the bags. A fire is possible.Good value for the money and I feel I got a good return for what I paid.

This arrived damaged
The product works decently. it is pretty over priced and arrived damaged. A piece of plastic screen was broken by another component in the box, the box arrived upside down, so maybe that's why.
