Useful and functional tool for teaching a kid to stay on top of the ball. It provides instant feedback. Holding up pretty well through a few months of tossing it around. Very reasonably priced and a more fun way of teaching kids a 4 seamer.

My son has been playing baseball for a while now we are constantly looking for new products to improve his skill. This is a really good tool to practice with. 10/10

It’s a little lighter and cost effective from Clean Fuego. So far durable and helps baseball players understand how to apply their baseball grip.

Best for youth 9-15U: The ball weighs right in a 5.19oz and has more "ball" to grip which is helpful for younger players as thew hone their finger snap when releasing the ball.... and because of the lower price point, it doesn't matter as much if the ball gets scratched up from pavement play. The more expensive Clean Fuego brand is ideal for young adult/adult players as those have less "ball" and more flat side to the design: That makes it harder to get a clean spin on the trainer and really dials in a consistent finger snap. I know that Play 9 has different balls available to learn different pitches but this same trainer can be used to throw different pitches just as easily since the release motion should be the same and provide a clean spin.I see some complaints about the center line stripe... While not perfect, it is really only helpful for early early stages of training as the player shouldn't focus so much on the line as they are more focuing on the complete ball having a clean look as it spins to the other player's mitt or glove. Play 9 should add an overload option or two of the 4-seam design. Like a 6oz, 7oz & 8oz to help warm up pitchers and also ensure clean wrist and finger mechanics.

This training tool will help you create consistent in line spin on the baseball which will have you throwing ropes. I highly recommend and it feels like a real baseball with real leather, no plastic which is great.

I ordered for my son help to with his 4seam , great training tool but the Line wasn't straight, that's one reason I ordered it to help identify when he's releasing to early or late
