Makes it a lot easier to see all the puzzle properly

Previously, my jigsaw evenings were very rustic... completing the puzzle on a thin board (usually the backing for the picture frame it will be displayed in), often leading to a painful back due to leaning over this board and always needing multiple changes of position to avoid getting a dead leg.Not comfortable, and if it wasn't completed on the first night I would need to find somewhere to put it (top of the wardrobe).Now, however, it's a whole new experience.The Portapuzzle was much bigger than I expected it to be, but it's a very well thought out piece of kit and works amazingly well.You can sit at a table, have the puzzle raised up and avoid any back pain/dead legs, cover it up and store it, even vertically and the two extra panels to put your un-used pieces on can be popped in the case and removed again without risk of them moving.Honestly, it has made completing jigsaws pleasurable again.The whole thing is put together really well and is very well thought out. A little on the big side, but it's guaranteed to fit any jigsaw that I'm likely to make.I have a couple of craft projects that I'm contemplating that I may be able to use this with as well, so looking forward to starting them.However, for its main use it is highly recommended by me.

This is very useful as I have whiplash and cannot bend my neck so having the board at an angle really helps. Unfortunately the jigsaw pieces do not stay on the board when it is elevated. I have had to drape a jigsaw roll green fabric over it to make it work which is rather disappointing.

First impressions of this were positive albeit I was shocked at how huge it is! I was planning on giving it to my 6 year old for her puzzles but when it arrived I immediately realised I underestimated the size of it - which I should have twigged given it Is suitable for 1000 piece puzzles!Once I got my head round the size of it (and found a storage place for it under the sofa!) we’ve found it to be really useful. It’s great having the dinning table back as once she’s done with her puzzles we can just lift the mat off the table and slide it under the sofa, hidden away until she wants to carry on with them. It’s also be great using it at an angle, so she’s not having to stand up and try and lean over the table to reach a piece at the top!Overall now I’m used to it I’ve been really happy with it, so it’s 5 stars from us!

My wife really loves her jigsaw puzzles especially during the winter months, so this is going to get a lot of use from now til next spring.An unexpected bonus is the tilt function and how well that works in practice. We hadn't properly realised just how quickly your back begins to complain when leaning over a puzzle set out on a table, and of course the larger the puzzle, the more likely you are to have to take a break and put it away for a while.So with this not only can we spend more time doing puzzles, it's super easy to pack away when we need the table for something else.

I have a large sheet of thin wood which I currently use for building my jigsaw puzzles. Then at the end of the day I slide it under the sofa out of the way (picking up the pieces that slide off on the way!). It's bulky and horrible to look at. This puzzle board allows me to get rid of the board, it so much easier to use, because of these reasons:- when you want to move your puzzle, you can fold this up and store it any way you want, upright even. The pieces stay in place- you can tilt the board to make it more comfortable when using, basically it's easier to see and much less leaning over, good for people with back issues. The pieces really do stay in position, the fabric is a sort of felt which grips the pieces perfectly. Just remember what way the puzzle board is, i started my puzzle, then fancied tilting it, and I had built it the wrong way round, doh!- it also has 2 felt boards included for puzzle pieces, great for your sorting, no need to use the box and box lid any more- it took my 1000 piece puzzle with plenty spare on the sides, I expect this should handle all puzzles of 1000 piecesIt's a bit of a gamechanger for jigsaw puzzles, I can now take it anywhere I want to keep building, and not worry about the Mrs hoovering up my pieces!----------------------------This review is for an item I received free as part of the Amazon Vine program. This may seem like an odd thing to buy, but if you're a fan of jigsaw puzzles you'll find this is a game changer. Or puzzle changer at least. It allows you to free up your kitchen table by making it possible to fold up and move a puzzle mid-construction - the pieces adhere to the felt in a way that even means you can angle it upwards so that you don't need to loom over your puzzle like a henge. Seriously, it is so useful that if you like the idea of jigsaw puzzles but don't enjoy the hassle, give this a try. All the hassle goes away.
