I'm really happy with this couch and ottoman. I decided to buy the 5 pc set vs the 3 pc set simply because I felt the ottoman being detachable was more versatile. I also thought that in the fall when I'm stacking and covering, it will be easier.I'll start by saying that I had NO problems with this set at all. Delivery was a breeze (the two boxes were heavy, but cleverly packaged like a tetris game and undamaged by FedEx).Unpacking was simple. All parts were labeled and the directions were plenty clear. I didn't have any problems lining up the holes and getting the bolts started. In order to have this result, you absolutely must follow the directions and do not tighten up the bolts until all of them have been inserted and started. And I mean do not go beyond a few turns after getting it started. You will have no problems with assembly if you do this. The directions state this, but I am guessing that the people who had trouble lining up the holes probably tightened up screws too much before they had them all in. That being said, you have to carefully look to make sure that you have screws in all of the places they are supposed to go. The directions don't tell you how many screws get inserted, so you just need to pay attention.The box that contained the two corner pieces had stickers to label some parts, and the stickers were on the little metal legs. They did not come off, but they will face the wall so it doesn't bother me. If I want to try to get it off later, I will. The box that contained the middle piece, ottoman and coffee table had protective coating over the little metal legs that had to be peeled off. That was a great idea and would have been nice if it had been done the same way for the other box that had the stickers that overlapped the metal legs. The stickers come off the plastic rattan very easily.Overall, just read the directions and know that anytime you are screwing in bolts using an allen wrench, it is tedious. It took me about 2 hours to get it all together. My hands were a little bit worn out, but the adrenaline in having new patio furniture takes over!I placed the furniture underneath an overhang on my deck. It will get wet, and it will get dewey, but I think it will do all right. The ottoman cushion got wet in a rainstorm and the water pooled up a little bit on top. It dried out very quickly in the following sunny day.If you are a tall person and concerned about size, budget patio furniture is not for you. Go to a furniture store, or go to an outdoor store that sells high-end patio furniture and you will find nice regular sized furniture for about four times this price and up. There is patio furniture and then there is high quality patio furniture. I don't know what people expected for the price. I am 5 foot 5 in tall, and the furniture is very comfortable to me. I bought two throw pillows and can lay across the couch and read a book without a problem. The ottoman, or chaise lounge, is not that big... It is loveseat size. Since all the cushions are square and interchangeable, it is two cushions long - so not that long!! Don't buy this with the intention that the ottoman in chaise form will be super long. Common sense.I bought the navy blue color with brown, and it is very nice. I hope that it holds up for a long time, but I plan to rotate the cushions so that they will all fade evenly.The fabric on the cushions is not soft. Again, for the price, you should not expect high-end Sunbrella fabrics! It is inexpensive outdoor fabric and works just fine. I would rather it weather the elements than be soft and disintegrate rapidly.The clips that hold the sofa pieces together work very well. There are two for each joint, and I think it is ample. I did not attach the ottoman, because I move it regularly.I'm very happy with the style and quality of this furniture for the price. I was at a local Garden store today and saw a similar sectional sofa on sale (which really wasn't any higher or larger than this) at $1, 800! I'm happy I saved my money and hope that this will serve me for many years to come!

We have had this set for about a month now, and we absolutely love it. It was easy to assemble. My husband and I put it together in about 2 hours. All hardware fit as it should. It is a lightweight set, but I like that because I drag it across my deck to the shade when the sun gets too hot.The cushions are on the thinner side but that has not affected it’s comfort as far as I’m concerned. I do use the extra pillows I bought to lounge across the whole thing. I see people complain about many of these sets that they are lower than they expected. It is 16” high with the cushions, and for comparison, our couch is 17”. Most sitting surfaces are not higher than 18”’.The color is perfect (navy) and matches our outdoor patio dining set perfectly. We have been bringing the cushions in when it rains, but when they do get wet, they dry quickly - unlike the thick cushions on my dining set - so there’s a bonus for it not being thick.I don’t know how long it will hold up, but the price was fantastic, and it fits our space perfectly. If it doesn’t hold up well, I will update my review. So far, I only have good things to say.

We were very exited to receive this item for our newly restored second story balcony. I do not generally leave reviews, but felt compelled to share my negative experience with this company. The item was of poor quality, I assembled the item and found that the finished metal wrapped on all of the feet of the item was dented and or damaged. Ok, that is fine, I will still roll with it........... thinking that no one will see the feet. I got the items assembled ( I am a contractor and know how to assemble an item) and all of the pieces would rock back and forth. The pieces have no means for leveling the feet. The only option would be to literally contort the pieces into square so that they would no longer rock and become stable. The instructions say to tighten all screws sequentially so the items level out, which I did............and it still did not help. The attachment points for the pieces were not very strong, so I did not feel comfortable to bend the pieces into being square, thinking that the screws or threads may break. We sat on the pieces and the cushions were very uncomfortable and thin. Ok, so I realized, this item has got to go back.I contacted the seller and was helped by a person named Daisy, she sent us an email with instructions saying to pack the item in the original box, other wise they would not return the item................( which we did), ship the item, send tracking info and then send her the receipt so she could refund our account. I sent her the receipt and around 8 hours later, Daisy sends me an email saying that her company will not refund the shipping and that we could only use the attached label that she now attached to the latest email and that she could no longer help me. After the item was already shipped and she had the tracking number based on her instructions.I had to call Customer Service with Amazon, the customer service agent was really help full and she reviewed the conversation that I had with Daisy. Amazon refunded my shipping fee of $260.00 and apologized for the policy of this company. I really do not feel that it was Amazon's issue to have to pay the shipping, but I accepted it. I hope they get the money back from Phi Villa.I just want to let any potential buyers know to beware that if you buy furniture from this company, expect that the reasonable pricing will equate into a very cheap built item from China that will not last more than 4 seasons and that if you have an issue, the company tries to trick you out of getting a refund. I have been a Prime member for many years and this is the first issue that I have had with a seller out of all of these years. Again Buyer beware! with Phi Villa
