Good Value
Decent quality controller for the price. Simple plug-and-play on my Windows 10 system, so thankfully no need for any firmware downloads or faffing around with settings (assuming they’re already set up for controller use).Included instructions are somewhat confusing and (along with the label on the controller itself) give conflicting ideas as to whether it is compatible with any Xbox devices or just PC. The listing seems to suggest that it is not compatible, yet the back of the controller says “for x-one wired controller”. I don’t want to risk messing anything up on my Xbox so have only tested it with my PC and do believe it is not intended for console usage.Controller itself is reasonably well built, if a little rough around the edges. The front has a soft ‘rubbery plastic’ feel. Buttons, triggers and analogue sticks all seem to work well enough, although the rubberised grips on the analogue sticks arrived looking a little worn and feel a bit rougher than you’d get on official controllers. There’s a lot of RGB lighting available via the scorpion and spider designs, which is not to my taste personally so thankfully there is the option to disable this if desired. There are some additional buttons on the rear that lie roughly where your middle fingers rest when using. Buttons are programmable which is a nice option to have.Overall I think this is a decent buy. It’s clearly a budget controller but certainly seems to be well built for the price and I’ve had no problems with it so far. Of course, it remains to be seen how long it will last and if stick drift will become an issue. Even so, if you only need a wired controller for your PC then you could save a fair bit of cash opting for one of these over an official controller. Good value at £15.33 at the time of ordering.

Great feeling controller that is a broken mess
The product listing for this gamtooy joypad states "It not support to All series of X-ONE consoles" - which translated I took to meaning "not compatible with Xbox One or Xbox Series consoles". Which is interesting as the instructions distinctly say that it is.What it turns out to be is an unlicensed peripheral that has been banned via Microsoft's rollout of their Third Party Accessory clampdown which started around November 2023. In fact if you do plug this into an Xbox One (and up) it tells you that it will not be supported after 10/10/2024 (I'm presuming it's giving me 2 weeks grace here).Okay fine - if I ignore the instructions and just go with the product listing it tells me it's for PC only. I plug it into my first PC and it just continuously disconnects. Odd - but this is a bit of a custom config (Server 2022!) so I'll try my main PC (Windows 11). I plug it in - connection is solid - great! I run joy.cpl to check everything is working - as soon as I pull one of the triggers nothing else registers. No input of any kind from the joypad. This is a shame as physically this controller has some features that I really like. The feel of this controller is great with a sort of rubberised top surface. Face buttons have an immediacy about them and it has a circular d-pad which I love - especially for fighting games and classic shmups. Add in 2 macro triggers on the rear and this could have been a really great budget controller.Too bad it doesn't work. Avoid.

Excellent budget controller for the PC
I was looking for a secondary controller for my PC so I ordered a this controller on the Amazon vine testing program. The controller came very simply packaged in a normal white box and also came with some brief instructions and two spare rubber grips for the thumbsticks, which I thought was quite a nice touch. All you need to do is plug this into your PC to get it to work, I did this and it started working straight away.I tested this with Steam and it worked perfectly and most importantly I tested it with the Xbox app for the PC and that worked perfectly as well.Considering this is a budget controller it has two extra buttons underneath the controller so you can program them for other buttons, I always program mine for L3 and R3 as always find this easier to use. It's very easy to program by following the instructions. You can also change the LED lighting on the controller to just a few simple variations.Discontroller is a cheap controller and although it seems to be built quite well it is definitely a budget controller as it all feels very plastic key and you get a lot of light bleed from the RGB lighting. But hey ! at the asking price of when I ordered it of £17 I think this is excellent value for money.Midfield's quite nice in the hand and works an absolute treat with everything so for me it's a very easy five-star review.Remember if you want to premium go and pay premium prices, if you want budget then look no further.

Bit flimsy but similar design to Xbox controllers makes it really easy to use
This controller is surprisingly good for the price! It has a similar layout to an Xbox controller, which made it super intuitive and comfortable to use right away. The vibration feedback adds a nice touch to the gaming experience, and the turbo function is handy, especially for action games where quick moves matter. The RGB lighting is a cool feature, and it adds a fun, colourful vibe without being too distracting. While it feels a bit light and maybe not as sturdy as more expensive controllers, it does the job well and hasn’t let me down yet. Overall, for casual gaming on PC, it’s a great budget option!
