No I'm not smoking cigarette butts, I'm smoking pork butts! I'm running multiple pieces of meat, and keeping an eye on the temperature in my smoker all at the same time. I'm getting great results.The only thing I'll warn people is don't set the alarms on your phone if you're not going to monitor it. When it starts going off it's loud beeping. Set it to vibrate instead.So far I've had great success. The beads on the probes are kind of useless. They get smoked and you can't tell what color they are. They also slip and slide up and down the cable, so it's hard to keep the beads in place at each end. That doesn't matter though.The app works great. I'm getting 50-75 feet through brick walls with my smoker outside.The little LCD unit is as good as any other remote thermometer. The probes are excellent quality and feel very heavy duty. They have ample cable to reach deep inside my smoker to give me those crucial temperatures.Overall, I'm very pleased. Just did two Boston Butts last night and the unit did its job very well.

The recommended BBQ Android app works well. I've been using the 'alert when temperature' is reached method of cooking some steaks. I've been trying the slow cook, smoking method of grilling steaks and they've turned out properly so far. The insert and forget is much more convenient than having to continuously poke and prod the steak during it's cooking process.

This thermometer is one of the easiest I have used. I just received it and used it on Sunday to smoke a large pork butt for fathers day. The App is easy to use and very straight forward. I was able to get things working in under five minutes. Bluetooth pairs quickly and stays connected. I've been smoking for about ten years now and have used many different thermometers and this I can truly say is the best one I've used. I've used the iGrill original and Mini in the past, but they sold out to Weber and made it impossible to use the app on my iPhone. Also, the fact that it comes with four probes is handy as well as you can put one on the grate level to see what the temp is there since most installed thermometers are too high (using Big Green Egg XL). Usually you get one or two, but more is better. I will probably buy a couple more so I can fill it up. This is a great unit.

"Best" is true. I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and have used it several times already. What a time-saver! So easy to use and set up. I smoked chicken today and put the probes in the unit and that was it. It connected to the preset settings in my phone and I went about my business until the alarm went off. Perfect chicken. I smoke because the food is an integral part of our diet. I have no desire to sit next to the smoker for 7 hours waiting for a brisket to cook. This is a great solution.

The problems with the remote thermometer are the silly color balls that identify each probe slide back and forth. Why they didn't attach them to each end I don't know; I guess laziness and cheapness. They are useless they way they came. I wasted so much time trying to move the color balls to each end and have them fall back. I ended up shoving a toothpick in them to keep them from sliding back and forth. The company should have thought of this in the design that letting them slide back and forth is useless. The other issue is the colors. As a color blind person, some of the colors they sent to me are extremely difficult to tell apart. I should have returned this item before the 30 day period. Buy something that has a better thought and design!

Loved how simple it is to use, I’m not that savvy with electronics but this was easy and boy does it have range I had it going in the back of the house and my bed room is in the front of the house 2nd floor with no problem. Lol set it up at 6am and set timer ,went back to sleep for 2hrs lol love it!

I purchased this thermometer primarily for grilling and smoking. Upon receiving it I noticed a small diagonal scratch on the screen. I contacted customer service and after providing a couple of photographs I was immediately sent a replacement model. With the enclosed shipping label, returning the damaged unit was a breeze, and free of charge. I have since received several follow up emails from customer service making sure that I was completely satisfied with my experience. I would like to add that the time range on the emails I received was from 6:00AM-10:00PM.As far as performance the thermometer has performed flawlessly each time I’ve used it. I have used it on the grill, and in the oven. It has made a huge difference in cooking with no more guessing when the meat is done. The combination of performance and outstanding customer service gives this device five stars in my book!!!

Used this on the Thanksgiving Turkey that was being smoked in the outdoor bbq. Used two probes, one for the drumstick area and one for the breast, this worked like a charm and linked with my iphone like a charm. Great price for a great product.
