Try these and you may never go back!
The only downside is that there can be a learning curve with the thickness and your grip... soapy water is "slick" and these gloves are serious... I can wash dishes in boiling water without discomfort- which I LOVE, so for me it was a no brainer to learn to work a little more slowly until I felt I had control over slick crystal glasses etc. Once I figured out how to grip things properly with these gloves on any other gloves feel so inferior! These are lined, so your hands don't get that clammy feeling and the heat resistance is astonishing. I've now got multiple pairs so that everyone can help with dishes. I'm sure it is bizarre, but the ability to work in super hot water comfortably makes washing things by hand MUCH easier, faster and honestly even a little bit fun!

Life Saver
I use these all the time, and have for decades. They are very easy to slip on and off, if you buy the correct size for your hands. I keep a pair in the kitchen for doing dishes, a pair in the laundry room for cleaning and laundry, and a pair on my mother's sink for the caregiving tasks I perform for her. I also keep several pairs on the shelf so that I am never w/o them. I usually use them with very hot water, and one pair lasts for many months.

Great for protecting your hands
I have severe contact dermatitis on my hands. I use these to wash dishes. They’re thick enough to shield my hands from the hot water and these gloves are very sturdy. I take very good care of them. They’re the best on the market. I love the cotton lining, that’s why I buy these.

Very Stiff Material—Not What I Expect with Bluettes
I've used Bluettes for years because they hold up much better than other rubber gloves but are comfortable, offer good protection, & are still fairly flexible. This latest pair, however, is disappointing. The material is so stiff I can barely flex my fingers, even after several months of use.

Almost the perfect glove. Almost.
I saved writing this review until my glove finally wore out. I thought it was a year ago, and it turns out it was just about two years ago. Two years of daily use washing dishes in a large family. No cracks, no tears, forks and knives never poked through and they have been through the washing machine several times to stay clean on the inside. These gloves held up so much better than I could have ever expected. Even now, "wore out" means there is a teeny-tiny hole in the thumb. So what makes them the "almost perfect" glove instead of the "perfect" one? It is, as many others have said, because as soon as there is the tiniest bit of grease or soap on the glove, it's like trying to hold onto a greased pig. Everything slides off the gloves, including the dishes. I learned different techniques for holding on to my dishes as I washed, but it takes quite a bit of concentration. It's doable, but it can be scary at times just how slippery these gloves are.So overall I recommend them and will likely buy them again, but I still wish for something more - the durability and longevity of this glove with fingers that aren't so slippery. As an aside - if you are trying to wash these in the washing machine, it helps to turn them inside out. Because they are so thick this can be hard to do. I found that soaping up the outside of the glove and turning it inside out with the soap still on helps immensely.

Surprisingly good
I have been using other gloves which were heavier than these and worked quite well, but after a time the material became stiff and dishes could slip out of the hands. Upon receipt, these gloves appeared thinner and not as generous in sizing. I was, however, pleasantly surprised on both fronts: first, so far the glove grip is very good even when washing off dishes with dish soap. When excess soap adheres to the glove, making them slippery, just put them under the faucet for a moment and the soap is washed off and the glove returns to its former state. Secondly, although the sizing is not as generous as the other gloves I had, the better "feel" allows for better washing. I'll be watching how these perform over time, but at present I'm anticipating buying another pair.

Great size, sturdy construction
Why doesn't Playtex make rubber gloves for men? Even their large size is tiny and their XL is hard to find. These Bluettes are a lifesaver -- the XL fits me fine (I wear a men's large size in winter gloves), the cloth liner makes entry/exit easy, the sturdy construction suggests 10 times the lifespan of cheap buy-at-the-grocery gloves, the edge comes a third of the way up my forearm with no problematic cuff. The glove thickness decreases fine touch sensation, but no problem hand dish washing fine china and crystal. Excellent so far.
