I was using a cloth like material to catch my dish drying drips but it kept getting moldy and I had to wash it way too often. This stone drying mat is great! Make sure you wipe it before using because it does have a powdery residue on it. It's amazing how fast the water spots dry. Fits well under my dish rack and looks beautiful on my marble grey counter top!

It looks so much nicer than a towel sitting on the counter top, and it dries so quickly. I never have water spilling on the counter top while dishes are drying.

I purchased this to use as a mat for my sons shower caddy in his college dorm room. It’s big enough for his plastic caddy and his shower shoes. Great way to keep from ruining furniture or trapping moisture.

Its amazing and you will never go use anything else again.

Although we have a dishwasher, we prefer to hand wash enough items that we regularly keep something on our kitchen counter near the sink. Over the years we've used various ways to air dry those items, some made to leave out, some to fold up and store away, including a folding chromed metal rack (eventually corrodes and needs to be cleaned and polished); a foldable bamboo rack (had a light varnish that began to dry a peel off); a decorative dishtowel (got too wet and stayed wet too long), etc. Plus we had to place a dish towel under the racks or, even worse, a rubber mat that "drained" into the sink. Ugh. Too complicated and too much fuss.This item could be an improvement on all the above, but it has characteristics that make it a deal-breaker for me. I gave it four stars instead of three somewhat reluctantly, but decided although for me the cons outweigh the pros, you might arrive at a different assessment.Pros:~absorbs and releases (evaporation) an adequate amount of water dripping from rinsed dishes, pans, etc.~stylish-looking, especially in modern kitchens with granite or other kinds of "stone" countertops; it has nice, sweeping etching (see pic)~meant to be left out all the time as part of your kitchen sink area washing and cleaning accessories~large enough to hold and absorb drips from a "large" number of hand-washed itemsCons:~because it's essentially a permeable, unsealed stone product, it will become stained with colored liquids, such as coffee, fruit juices, dark fruit such as blueberries, etc. It comes with a small amount of sand paper, but that's for smoothing rough edges or removing surface debris; it won't remove stains.~it's heavy and brittle; I'm pretty sure if you accidently dropped it, or dropped a heavy pan on it, you'd have a mat in several pieces~it's hard but more like sandstone than rock hard; I wouldn't put it directly on a granite countertop. It does come with a rather thin silicon mesh non-slip pad but I would replace that with a thicker one for more protection and stability~this particular one came with a defect on one corner (see pic), such that I think it would scratch my granite countertop; I think I will be able to sand it smooth, but shouldn't have to do thatFrankly, the solution we've arrived at in our kitchen is a couple of cloth dish drying quilted pads that are thick enough to absorb as much water as we need them to, and they seem to dry out without any problems (e.g., mildew, etc.). We do leave the window over the sink open a crack to help with air circulation. The pads can be tossed in the washer / dryer periodically. We can use one or more depending on need, and they can be removed easily to clean the counters, etc. And they won't break if you drop them.

Works great to dry dishes on. No stains yet after about a week’s use. Water dries fast.

I have the smaller version of this stone trim and wanted to get a larger sized one on my kitchen counter. because of the relative thickness of the stone, the packaging was well designed with both carport box and a air bubble padded container. It comes with a non-slip mesh mat that you can put underneath the stone, and also a abrasive sandpaper for cleaning. I wish you came with some rubber feet that you could put underneath the elevate it in case of excessive water draining. The toilet. The grey colour is exactly as shown in the product photos, and the top surface of the stone has some channels to increase a bit of surface area. The stone itself is fantastic for water absorption. Highly recommend this item. Keep your kitchen counter dry.

I was going to send this to my husband before ordering, but I thought better. I knew 100% he was going to come back and say this was dumb....so I went ahead and ordered it. You could tell he was skeptical when it arrived, but after doing the dishes last night he can't stop talking about how cool it is. I'll call that a win.Note - you need to give it a good rinse before your first use. I didn't read the instructions and started using it out of the gate and then realized a black-grey residue was coming off. Quick rinse under the sink with a dish brush (no soap!) and it's ready to go.My only complaint is the pattern. I'm not a big fan of the wavy lines, but that's 100% personal preference. The edges of the stone are beveled so if you decide to use the flat underside the edge is more blunt.

This stone tablet is great to have in the kitchen especially having it near the sink when you are washing dishes or need to lay something wet down without having to put in on the counter or in the sink. This is a great alternative for a dish drying may if you are the type to, "clean up as you go" I am really impress with the size of this tablet giving you lots of space to use it however you want.
