impressive output
This is the second light I have bought from nitenumen and it works great. The light is very bright and has several modes that you can use. high, mid, low, sos, and strobe. The bike mount is sturdy and tightens well. The padding inside the bike mount lets it grip the handlebars or anything else you mount it on, without marring the finish, and provides for a tight fit. It uses a good size thumb screw to tighten down which is easy to grip and tighten and not hurt your fingers and does not require any tools to mount. The bike mount part can also be removed easily for use as a normal handheld light. This way you can mount it to your bike, and when not in use, just pop off the light and bring it with you while keeping the mount tight on your bike. The way the mount is designed, it can fit on any size bike. The design makes it safe to use in rainy conditions as well. The cover for the usb port for charging the battery fits snugly to keep water out. It also comes with an 18650 battery and some extra o-rings in case the ones installed ever wear out. It is easy to use and will last a long time. It is definitely worth the price.

SUPER bright!
Very well made product and seemingly very durable. Also VERY bright! I ride at night pretty frequently and this thing has no problem lighting my path.Only two complaints are:1. The handle bar mount is a little too small. I had to use a small piece of rubber from an old bike light I had to make sure this one was snug enough.2. There is no LED charging indicator that I could find. Not a big deal since I have a stand alone 18650 charger. All in all a great purchase. Definitely recommend!

Light flickers on even relatively smooth roads
I like a lot of things about this bike light, but it has a critical flaw: it flickers when going over the smallest of imperfections in the road. This makes the light more of a strobe light than a flashlight. A few other people have mentioned this in their reviews.

EDITEDL Very bright, and long lasting, and only a few flaws that aren't so bad
For the flaws:It rattles with small bumps in the road. Very audible rattle, like something is loose. But, it never comes off it's mount. And I don't worry that it ever will. Once it is secure, it won't come off. Just noisy thoughThe light flickers over bumps. A little annoying, especially when I am pushing it. I almost think the light is going out, but it is just a slight flicker. For the good:Very bright. Just as good as any other light I've ever used. Lights up the road plenty and I can easily see bumps/cracks in the road when biking. It seems to last a long time too. I've probably used it about 2.5hrs so far, and not had to recharge it yet. Much better than some AR15 rifle light with a optional bike mount I've used. And if it ever goes out, I've got a ton of 18650 batteries (leftover from the stupid AR15 light)It also operates at cold temps, at least to 34'F. That was the temp last night, and it worked great.EDIT: So my first long ride last night. After two hours, the light would flicker much worse, sometimes turning itself off. Made my overnight ride scary at times. I was hoping for 3 batteries to last me 9 hours, but cut my ride short to just 6 because of this. I'll be looking for another one, seeing as how this disappointed me last night.Good light, a few minor flaws, but if it holds up, well worth the purchase.

frustrating
This is a review of a replacement product I received for free for two weeks of testing after returning one I bought. I will compare this to the Cygolite Metro 700, which is a high-quality, well-reviewed bike light at roughly twice the cost. When it works, the Nitenumen is a decent commuter light -- a cut above the common low-quality lights that sell for similar or slightly less, but I doubt it's more than 500 lumens. The beam itself is circular and most intense centrally, which is not quite as good for visibility as the wider and more evenly distributed Cygolite. The metal construction is compact, sleek, and feels solid, but some sharp corners make it not great for some pockets. The reason I initially bought it was that it uses a semi-generic 18650 battery, which I can use to charge my phone along with a Folomov A1 charger. On the bottom is a tripod mount screw. My main issue -- and the same issue I had previously -- is that it randomly dims/flickers or even shuts off. With the first light I received, it happened even after fully charging. With the replacement, it seems to happen more after I've used the light for an hour and my bike goes over jarring bumps, and goes away after I fully charge it. For me, that's every 2-3 days, which is very annoying. I don't know if it's an issue with the heat or battery or whether that's just how it's supposed to work, but that's not a problem I have with my Cygolite. Because I have a better light, I won't continue to use this one although I might play with the battery. This might be a decent value if you ride slowly over safe paths, but you have to test it out for a few weeks.PROS:compactsleekgeneric 18650 battery (can be used to charge phone with special cord)tripod mount adaptable for GoProCONS:flickers/dims/shuts off -- ?associated with low battery and/or jarring bumps

Quick release mount is great. You can adjust the tilt without tool
Positives1. It does not interfere with my wireless cyclocomputer.2. You can replace the battery (during the ride). You can bring the spare battery and you'll never ride home in the dark.3. You can recharge via USB port.4. It's compact and low profile.5. Quick release mount is great. You can adjust the tilt without tool. This is useful after you came out of bike trail, you can tilt the light down the road to avoid blinding the other drivers.Negative1. The rotation mechanism is too loose and I don't know how to tighten it.2. It doesn't come with the lens suitable for cycling. It comes with the typical clear lens that will blind the drivers3. The lightbeam is not very suitable for cycling because of the lens (I guess) If you want a flashlight with better len, get the "Fenix BC21R Bike Light."
