Q: Can you buy replacement inside filter? Took off cover while running and the mesh blew somewhere about 10 feet away as must have been clogged badly.

Thanks for your question. The filter of our 4" Louvered Vent Cover is removable and replaceable, you can buy extra according to our size. Our original screen is denser and you need to clean it regularly. The outer cover can be removed now , just take out the sieve directly. By Funmit

Q: Can I omit the mesh screen entirely to prevent lint build-up?

That's the same question I have... lint does build up but if mesh is removed my concern is critters / birds/ bugs will have access. Thinking I will have to do more research on options.

Q: Does the cover have to go back in the same orientation, or can it be rotated by 90° or 180° to line up the louvers correctly?
