I have had the lemon bars automatically delivered every month (actually 2 boxes) for over 6 months. I just love them. Tasty, satisfying, lower sugar, high protein, low calories, no aftertaste either. Just perfect.while I'm rarely disappointed, it seems this batch I just received (both boxes), have a very high sugar content. The bars appear denser and compact with a very sugary taste; like they've been sprinkled with granule sugar on top.I'm hoping this is a one time issue, but if the next delivery is this way, I will have to discontinue my delivery,which will be very disappointing.

I work a job where getting away from my desk isn't always an option. These do the trick. They keep me from feeling hungry. They don't taste GREAT, but they are fine. No worse than any other protein bar, except maybe Luna but they aren't great on protein/fiber content. These are better than a lot of bars. I won't ever crave them but I might buy them again.

This product for my busy lifestyle. Can be described in just a few words. Nutritious, convenient, and tasty.

I had ordered the variety pack before to try different flavors and decided I liked the almond one best and bought a pack of those. I was very disappointed that these tasted old and I have to eat them anyway because I bought so many of them. The first batch didn’t taste like that, so I’m surprised and disappointed. These were my favorite protein rice krispy type bars until this happened.

So I have been doing the Smart for Life Diet for 5 weeks now and have lost 23 pounds to date. I absolutely would recommend the protein bars over the cookies! I originally bought a 42 day kit from Costco and for the 1st week I followed the diet plan in the book to the letter. I found that 6 cookies a day was waaay too much fiber and flax for my body so I cut down to 3 cookies a day...this was enough to keep me full but by the 3rd week I wanted nothing to do with the cookies. The kit came with shakes and soup as well but they both tasted so bad that I threw them out! I decided to try the protein bars and was honestly amazed at how well they tasted! They are the texture of a drier rice krispie treat but have a great flavor. This has been the 1st diet plan to ever work for me so I am very happy with the results. Each week I loose between 2 and 4 pounds so it is easy to keep following the diet. If you have any questions please feel free to ask but by far the protein bars are the way to go with this diet!

I appreciate the offer and based on how nasty these are, stand by my original review.I was really hoping for a decent tasting protein bars but, these aren't it. The box contains three flavors: peanut butter, Chocolate Crisp and Caramel Almond. Already I've had each flavor, I was excited. I expected greatness and I was disappointed. These are flavorless. I might as well eat dry unflavored Styrofoam. The chocolate crisp is not what I expected. I am used to eating crisp in protein bars, so the texture was great, the chocolate coating and flavor (what flavor) was lacking. I never met a peanut butter flavored power bar that I hated until now. It had a bitter aftertaste. The peanut butter coating lacked peanut butter flavoring and don't get me started on the Caramel Almond. They are not worth your money pick something else.

When I open the box I was a little disappointed. The individual packages looked smaller than the regular protein bars I get. I did not want to take two for my lunch so I took the one in hopes it would fill. When I opened it following my daily 18 hour fast I noticed it was very thick! Took a bite and all I can say is it is the most delicious protein bar I have ever eaten. I have tried so many... More than I can count. Normally there is a bad after taste or just a bad taste in general. My favorite is the almond caramel one. Great texture also.

I have bought this regularly and generally like the product, but for the last year, the bars have been hard and stale tasting. Hope you can get a fresher supply.

Now to be fair most protein bars in the last 20 years taste awful. I think because this recipe uses some older techniques for creating protein bars. In any case these bars are absolutely disgusting . The peanut butter variant is the only one that's even remotely palatable. I definitely recommend the special k protein bars over these any day.

1. There's no gooey caramel in the bar like it shows on the box.2. It has malitol - it's the worst sugar substitute. Half of it counts as carbs, it tastes awful, and it is literally used as a laxative.3. If you have a slight almond allergy like I do, any of the bars will trigger a terrible allergic reaction. Fever, runny nose, nausea, you name it.4. It's dense. It's like two granola bars smashed together.5. The peanut butter has a weird and awful aftertaste, and the choco crisp and caramel are indistinguishable

I am not returning my order because I find them practical and just the right size and they have a good nutrition value. But I find they pretty much taste all the same, and there is no melting caramel like the package suggests. I prefer the brand Builder, which is a little dry too but much tastier and has a thicker layer of chocolate. The package is really nice, if they could find a way to make them moister with thicker with a tastier covering they could take the market of gourmet protein bars.

I really like the taste of these bars. They do not feel like you are eating clay like some other brands. I just wish that the price was not double of what I used to pay for these.

IMO best protein bar I’ve come across...and have tried many. Always have 3 or 4 in my golf bag.By the way, paid $34 on Amazon but only $23 at Costco.
