Diffraction Grating sheet 1,000 lines/mm Linear 1 Foot x 6 Inches Wide

Was delivered rolled tightly and within a plastic sleeve. It was in perfect condition. Once unrolled, it’s the size I ordered and when using it to look at light, the diffraction spreads out on the sheet- not too far for our use though.

So disappointed. Ordered several months ago and ordered was cancelled. Don’t know why. Ordered again recently and got timely. Was very excited to use with my resin projects. It arrived wrapped in thin plastic material rolled up and taped. Opened to find it was damaged. It had kink marks all over as if it was pinched or bent. Very disappointed

I don't know what the rest of the reviewers here need a full sheet of this grating for. Yes, it comes wrinkled, but there are plenty of regions (> 3 cm x 3 cm) that are smooth and usable. You don't need a full flat sheet of this stuff to make a spectrometer or demonstrate diffraction.It's also not a shipping issue; it is already wrinkled from the seller.

The review made me worry that it would be wrinkled up or folded. It arrived flat in a box well protected by a layer of protective sheeting. I am very pleased with this 6” X 12” sheet of diffraction grating.

I wanted to get one of these because I thought it was right up my alley. I had taken a physics class that used these to perform Young's double slit experiment, and I owned a laser, and I wanted to do that sort of thing in my spare time. The product came in a box and curled up (like a sleeping bag). However, a few minutes after enjoying the diffraction grating, I found out the slits appear to be sprayed on. Like, there is a coating that was applied and it(the coating) made those 1000 tiny little slits per millimeter. If I pressed my hands against the plastic the coating would vanish and there would just be standard, 0 slits per millimeter plastic. Water didn't cause this problem. Packing tape also cleared the coating. The coating was only on one side of the product.I didn't expect all that (spray like coating of 1000 slits per millimeter), but the price was good and I did enjoy the product. It's not 5 stars because it's not what I thought I would get, but the product was still reasonable. So if you buy this product, be careful touching it.

I was hoping if it was shipped within an Amazon box the diffraction grating sheet would arrive in better condition than it did. It also appeared to have a few spots where whatever they coat it for the diffraction grating was missing but these were relatively small. They need to place some cardboard in the packaging to keep it from bending during shipping. The package was marked that it was 1 foot by 5 inches but I measured and it does appear to be 6 inches. Disappointed and will probably end up returning it. I was hoping for better. I ordered a different sheet from a different vendor and it cam rolled in a cardboard type with plastic camps in perfect condition. I don't recommend this vendor unless folds and dibbles in the sheet do not matter to you.

As mentioned by other reviewers, the film arrived crinkled in a flawless (enormous) box. Unlike one other reviewer, a small area (3cm x 3cm) of smooth film is insufficient for my uses. Also I kinda feel like you should only order a 3x3cm square if that's all you need.I should have read the reviews more carefully -- I thought that this was getting damaged in shipping but that is not the case. It is already damaged when they package it for shipping, so if I were you, I'd go with a different seller.

Came in a fantastic packaging. It was straight and clean. It's so cool I want more. Also the size I got was not misleading for I wanted a small sample size. They have listed the price and sizing clearly.
