Picked up stations in the basement!
I have a basement shop that I like to spend time in doing various home projects and hobbies. When doing so, I enjoy some background noise so I'll have on a radio, but I missed having a TV in my shop. We have cable, but I would have had to pay for an extra box to get event he basic channels, and I didn't want to do that. I purchased this antenna completely expecting to have to return it as I had tried others that wouldn't pick up a single station. For some reason the description and other reviews convinced me to give it a shot. Besides, Amazon's super easy returns made it an easy choice - I had nothing to lose. I had hope when I unboxed the antenna and read the easy to follow directions. I have limited areas to mount the antenna and it would end up a fair distance away from any outside walls, but luckily in the general area of where the best signals were coming from according to a website I found.Set up and scanning were all automatic and when it was all said and done I had over 12 channels. I had a few more, but the reception wasn't that clear so I deleted those from the TV menu. I now get my 4 local stations including the Public Television Station and few others that were a nice surprise. I mounted the antenna to a HVAC duct as that was the best spot for reception and I have not had any issues.

GE’s Signal Strength Meter Antenna cannot even reach 30 miles!
I live about 30 miles away from the furthest tower in a suburb of a major city. I’ve tried many different antennas and thought this would work as GE has good products. I’ve had some appliances of theirs for over 20 years!I followed the instructions, tried in two different floors with multiple orientations and windows, and rescanned for channels at every different orientation and location. I even tried adding another signal amplifier to the one included in the antenna (it’s powered). But it did not help at all.At best, I received half the number of channels as I did with another brand’s flexible and amplified antenna. I also only received half of the network affiliates. I expected the GE antenna to live up to the advertised 60 mile range especially after verifying the orientation. But it didn’t even live up to 30 miles in most cases.I admit, the indicator was nice to verify I was facing the antenna in the correct direction. I noted it took a bit of time to update the LEDs as I was moving about. But I never was able to get enough channels/network affiliates to justify keeping the antenna. All local towers are located in one general direction, something I already knew for years by looking up online.Despite the strong urging to not return it by the small leaflet inside the box, this is going back to Amazon. It was a waste of time and money. I do appreciate Amazon’s great return policy, but I wish companies would advertise typical antenna performance. I knew enough to steer clear of the so-called 300-400 mile antennas. Those are clearly false advertising under all but the most perfect (albeit rare) conditions. But I believed GE was more reputable. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

One of the best antenna's I have used
The GE Amplified HD TV Antenna - Built In LED Signal Meter is one of the best antenna's I have used. The picture quality is very good and it blocks out the noise and wind that messes up the picture it blocks it out really well. If you can get a full signal on this signal meter it will probably be the best antenna you will ever use. I can't get a full signal where I live but I got a good signal it wasn't because of the antenna I just can't get a full signal in my room where I live. The signal meter works really good, I have no problems with this antenna at all. It is worth the money, I really like this antenna.

Waste Of Money
Connectivity was very bad 👎 no matter how I positioned it I could only pick up one channel. I live in town so maybe to much interference for it to pick up channels. I gave it to my borther who lives a little bit further out & it works just fine for them. I bought some rabbit ear antenna & it works great, I get all the channels in my area now. So I wouldn't recommend this product it cost more than rabbit ears & inconsistent on where it is going to work.

Did not get signal as well as the older model I have.
I bought this for my in-laws. It looks nice and the set up is easy. The signal finder showed low signal wherever I tried to place it and it only got two channels after running the auto-program three times. I took it home to test it with my TV because I have an older GE antenna that was much cheaper and I wanted to see if there was a difference. I swapped out my other GE antenna for this one, and tried it a few different spots. It does not get the same signal quality no matter where I tried it. Its great looking and has a nice long cable, but if you can't get signal then it really isn't worth it.

Arguably the best looking of the small amplified antennas
This amplified HDTV antenna has a sleek, black design with a signal strength meter that can be useful for finding an optimum position. It compares favorably with similar size antennas from RCA, Terk and others. (When you consider that the RCA ANT1400F is not amplified yet performs well and only costs $15 it makes you wonder why these more expensive amplified antennas with claims of longer range don't perform better.)SIGNAL METER - You become part of the antenna when you hold it to move it around. It is frustrating to see good signal strength go away as you step back from the antenna but this feature can be helpful.PICTURE QUALITY - With HDTV you get great picture quality or no picture at all. In my area 25 miles north of Boston this antenna pulls in most available stations performing better than other antennas I've tried. 4K broadcasts are crisp and sharp.NOISE REJECTION - The weather (wind, rain), sun and microwave oven can all cause marginal channels to drop out at times. This antenna seems better than others at holding on to channels during these events. The antenna has several mounting options. It can lay flat, mount on a wall and also has a self-supporting stand.

Pricey but very good
Bought this for my wife's grandfather. We tried several other cheaper antennas and this one is by far the best. No need to switch between long range and short range, the LED indicators are great for him to reposition it on his own.At the end of the day, he only gets like 5 channels but with all the other antennas we bought we never got more than 2.

Super desing
