This hoe is the sssiht! I have a yard full of crab grass. For those who know what that it, you know how hard it is to get rid of. This hoe made quick work of 4 pretty large flower beds full of crab grass. The blade was sharp enough to slice right down the line and the edges made quick work of digging. $20 is so completely worth it! Best tool for weeding I've ever had.

I love the off-center shape of this. I love the tapered point that lets me reach into the spaces between small plants for very fine weeding. I like that this can be sharpened to a nice, sharp edge for shaving small weeds off cleanly without disturbing the soil and exposing new weed seeds. The handle length is just right.

I love the smooth cut between the concrete in my sidewalk, my only dislike the handle wasnt long enough, therefore I had to do a lot of squatting. overall I like Japanese garden tool.

This is a GREAT tool ! for working around the edge and wilder parts of property. I just keep it clean, because it is iron, but thats what makes it strong. Oil it every so often and sharpen here and there. Im doing a "one Straw Revolution" thing on my property with this thing and thats about all I need. The tool is working well for me. Multiuse chopping, digging , cutting, trimming, clearing, even wacking!

Hands down this is my most used garden tool. I’ve been using this type of cultivator for over 20 years and find that it’s indispensable in my community garden plots. It weeds, blends in fertilizers and amendments, and digs holes for planting seedlings. I suggest painting the handle a bright color so you don’t lose it amongst the foliage.

Really like how it gets through compacted dirt and into areas of landscaping that are difficult to weed

This is my new best friend. It does a brilliant job of slashing through weeds and thinning invading plants.Wish it came with a bit of leather to protect the blade (and my fingers) but otherwise its just about perfect. It will definitely need periodic sharpening, so if you're not the sharpening sort of person this may not be right for you.

Blade rusts easily. Works okay as a hand hoe. Is relatively sharp. Doesn't cut that well when you use it horizontally, but if you stick it in the earth with the blade vertically, it goes down pretty far and can cut some softer pencil diameter woody roots okay. It isn't my go to tool but has its uses.

Honestly, this is the best thing I’ve ever purchased for weeding my garden. Wish I would have bought it years ago! It’s very sturdy and sharp! Even on hard ground it weeds the grass right out! Love this tool! Totally recommend!

Weeding tool received with the cutting edge chipped out, dropped or damaged? The package was very poor, polyethylene envelope and only a polyethylebe edge guard, the latter being totally ineffective. I am a hobbyist woodcarver so I am familiar with the care and sharpening of sharp edge tools, this tool is a poor example of Japanese steel.

Used it today on my perennials,was surprised how dull it was.Was expecting it to chop through nicely,had to hack away at them.I like the length of the tool will get it sharpened ,hopefully it will work a lot better.sThis item is made in China,it must be a Japanese original tool.
