It's the perfect weight for chopping meat for the dogs. Nice clean cuts. We will see how long it stays sharp.

Good heft. Cuts through chicken thigh bones (but remember to remove the splinters). Only complaint was the logo was smeared.

I've waited a bit to review this piece to give it a proper workout, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Holds an edge very well, the weight is perfect for the purpose, and looks great hanging near my cutting board.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a neighbor. My wife gathered up a neighbors knives and brought them to me to be sharpened. I was less than impressed with the edged it came on the blade from the manufacturer. They were obvious marks from where it had been ground down and the blade had a nick in it on the edge. I believe the stainless steel is probably good quality as it took me a long long time to remove the nick with my sharpening device. I was able to get a polished edge on this cleaver with which I can slice thin paper, but it took a good while to do so. The handle is adequate but if the user's hands become at all greasy from handling meat, it will become very slippery. Overall, a good cleaver for the money, but not a five star in my opinion. I believe the person receiving this gift will appreciate it as the knives she currently has are worthless.

Very sharp and on the right weight when hold on hand to chop meat.

I owned a previous knife that was similar to this one for double the price in full retail, I’m pleased with my purchase, super sharp, easy to sharpen & clean. It does so much justice for me in the kitchen, especially chopping vegetables !
