Easy to use for fine detail.

These are perfect for my needs. I bought these to do some shading in tiny areas. They are very small, which you need to know. I got some similar sized ones from hobby lobby, but they were much stiffer and did not so much shade as dent the paper. These Jack Richardson ones are stiff enough to hold their shape well, but soft enough to do some nice shading. Perfect! I'm glad I bought two packs.

I'm just now getting started on learning how to use these but you really can tell a difference between where you're not using them and where you do. It smooths over your strokes and makes the colors used much brighter

These tortillions hold a point for a long time. They also don't break down and get 'fuzzy'. I like these best for small areas and pinpoint accuracy. Their size makes them portable in small artist's packs. I've had one for 2 years of drawing classes.

Great price for a product you need if you're doing realistic graphite portraits or shading Zentangle tiles.
