My main reason for getting this lamp is the shape and design, but I also wanted a lamp with would add ambiance to the dark living room corner that we have. While I can't say for certain that it's working, the ambiance and aesthetic do make me feel better when it's on (or even off) and just makes me happy to have a bright light source. It's not bright enough to fill up the entire living space but being around it, you're able to read and do activities when it's on 75 - 100% brightest setting. Even my plants seem to enjoy being around this lamp and I love having it on during grey rainy days. Highly recommend this, I'm getting one as a gift for my niece as I know she will love it too!

Living in the PNW can be challenging over our long, dark winters. I wouldn’t give them up for anything, and having a sun lamp really helps keep our spirits up and our sleep schedules on track. This sun lamp is shaped like a planet, and is larger than you’d expect it to be. It comes with a remote, thank goodness, and has several options for brightness. The design makes it easy to keep out all year long, since it’s interesting to look at even when not in use.

I just got this recently. I don't yet know if it's going to affect my energy at this point. I don't notice it yet after a couple weeks. It is definitely hard for me to get used to the light on me at my desk right now but I'm going to stick with it and see if it starts to affect me in a positive way. I will update this review in another month or so.

No joke. I actually love this lamp. I love the different settings. I love its unique appearance and the cute little rim around it. The light goes from bright to kind of dim and that makes it really nice for indirect evening light or bright for the morning light that helps me get up and moving. It's easy to set up and easy to use. Great little remote with lots of color options. Really love it.

After finally building an office for myself in our basement, I was SO happy to have my own space with a door now that I work from home all day every day... but after a few months, the lack of any windows really started to bug me.Then I saw this thing and figured why not give it a try? Can't make it any worse!Since setting it up, I have just generally felt more comfortable. I don't really have a measurable way to know for sure how or why this is helping, but the room definitely feels better. It's a nice, soft light that kind of just gently reaches all the corners of the room without actually being harsh and bright. As an added benefit, it kind of evened out the lighting as well so I look a lot less washed out on video conferencing calls. I am very happy with it, and glad I gave it a chance. As fall draws closer and closer, I am sure this will be even more beneficial.

This beautiful little lamp is so fascinating! I have been "playing" with it since I got it because I have never seen anything that looks like it or has its function. Its a lamp with a ring around it, like the planet Saturn. The lamp is milky and vintage looking and the frame around is a pretty, honey gold. This lamp is so stunning! It is also bright enough to light up a room fairly well but I have it on the lowest output for the light therapy benefits. I haven't used it long enough to tell whether or not it delivers in that regard but it functions really nicely as a lamp. The light is soft and won't strain your eyes no matter where in the room you set this.I highly, highly, highly recommend giving this lamp as a gift. While its not the type of thing someone may even think to splurge on for themselves, they would absolutely love you to pieces for thinking of and gifting them this. Five well-deserved stars!

This Saturn-shaped lamp adds a nice touch to my daughter’s room and delivers good brightness, making it perfect as both a nightlight when dim and for waking up to a bright light. It’s super convenient to dim with either the remote or directly at the lamp, and the timer feature is really handy. However, it doesn’t quite deliver the 10,000 lux as advertised. The highest I measured was 5,500 lux at less than an inch away, and it drops to 1,000 lux at 10 inches. For our purposes of brightening the room, it works great. But if you're considering it for light therapy to improve sleep or regulate circadian rhythms, it's just okay.
