Awful Shipping. Nice Bar Though.
Let's get the bad right out of the way: this was one of the worst-shipped items I've ever received. The cardboard tube that housed the bar was absolutely obliterated. It actually looks like someone at the post office took pity on me when they saw the state of the tube and they stuck it in a (comically over-sized) cardboard box. I could be wrong about that, but I'm going to go with it since my shipping information was on the tube as well as the outside box. Even still the tape job on the outside box was pretty bad, and somewhere along the way one of the star locks and the rubber washer/gasket went missing. Fortunately for me I've got enough equipment laying around that I can just borrow a star lock from something else, but it's a bummer nonetheless. I paid for a bar and two star locks, I would have liked to receive a bar and two star locks. That's out of the way, so on to the good: This bar is of a much higher quality than I was expecting for the price. Despite the traumatic shipping experience it endured, it doesn't even have a scratch on it. The product description suggests a max weight of 250 pounds, so naturally the first thing I did was throw 250 on it and do a few reps. Everything seemed fine and I couldn't detect any noticeable bending, so I'm guessing there's a generous tolerance built into that suggested weight. I was expecting some immediate flaking of the chrome, but that didn't happen. Time will tell if it's actually a durable product, but good start.I feel like I'd be justified in taking a star or two for the horrific shipping and missing piece, but I'm impressed enough with the bar that I'm having trouble being too mad about it. That being said, if there's a customer support rep reading this, I'll definitely take a new star lock if you're offering.tl;dr: Nice bar for the price, but you might be playing the lottery with the shipping.

Great value, well made, perfect size (49" inside collar to collar) for 45" wide bench standards
Great value. Perfect length for the Marcy Pro bench that I use. Inside (collar to collar) length of the bar is ~49". Steel seems solid and clean, knurling in the hand grip area is comfortable and sure. Threading on the bar ends for the lock nuts is smooth. Two lock nuts are included with the bar. Two rubber washers are included for each end of the bar; you put the washers on either side of the weight plates when you mount the plates on the bar. I wish that the washers on the nut sides were metal lock washers (as they are with my old Bollinger bars), but that's no biggie. According to my bathroom scale, the bar weighs 15 pounds with the lock nuts. Rated capacity of the bar is 250 pounds, which is more than enough for my geezer needs. The only other thing to note is that the thread pitch on the bar ends is slightly different than the pitch on my old Bollinger bars. Again, no biggie. It just means that I can't swap the lock nuts for my Bollinger bars with the lock nuts for this CAP bar.

It's a good barbell.
For what it is, it's a good barbell.

Coating could be better
Over all the bar does what it needs and is supposed to do. I got the black coated version and at first the lock collars would stick in the threads. Through some use the coating has begun to flake off but has alleviated the sticking issue so win/lose there I guess. End of the day I don’t need pretty, I need it to work, and it does. I’d recommend for someone just starting out, with the knowledge that you will out grow this bar if you become serious. But I would say it’s excellent value for the price paid.

Used for lighter lifts on Cap rack
This barbell works with the CAP squat rack, but just barely (maybe 1/4"-1/2" to spare on each side). I lift light weights and can control my lifts and as long as lifting carefully you can rerack without issue. If going heavy or less careful get the 7 foot bar if also using the CAP squat rack. It arrived in a torn up box, but I expected that. It was in good shape, no chipping paint etc, but I expect that with time as my cap dumbbell ones chipped after a while. It was really inexpensive and I already had the 1" weights to use with it, so it was a no brainer for me to get it versus getting an olympic bar.

Right for the purpose.
Received it from PlumStruck through Amazon, I did examine the product where the wielded part is, due to one of the reviewers posted the weight stopper gave in. I think the customer whose stopper gave in was a different type or brand of bar. This one has its corrugated grip runs from the stopper to almost middle where your grip stops when doing the tricep extensions or narrow presses, he had a smooth part where the stopper was. The awkward thing about this is that it has a shorter sleeves just about 12" for both sides and so you have a good 48" bar for grips, total of 72" (6ft). This dimensions are okay if you have the Olympic sized bar and weights but for standard it looks weird. I had another standard 6ft bar but it has more room for weights and narrower middle bar, these two are different. I bought this one for light deadlift and squatting. This will be great for my purpose so I gave it a five star. Made in China and quality is fine. I suggested to go Olympic size if you want a better equipment or doing a heavier lifting. If you think you are going around 200lbs with these well think twice.

One of the nuts was broken
the tube it came in was destroyed, and one of the nuts was damaged. Otherwise, it works.

Would recommend
The quality of this barbell is much better than the two pieces barbell I received with my bench. I would recommend it. Do not buy if you don't want a threaded bar (obviously).Edit: I've had this bar for almost 3 years now. It is holding strong. There is no noticable bend in the bar after using it with 180+ pounds.

1" bar
Waited a long time for the bar to be instock again, worth the wait for the price.

Larger than Expected
I know it is my fault, but the 6ft barbell is super long for any living room exercises. The Cap barbell seems to be good quality, even with the possible cancerous material, and the design is optimal. I like the screw on mechanics as it keeps the plates more in place and it is easily unscrewed. I was pleasantly surprised that Amazon will ship this heavy; inconvenient product to my doorstep for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend this purchasd for any individuals who wants an affordable barbell!
