The shock cord in the pair of 20 foot aluminum poles for our well used Kelty dome beach canopy finally gave out. Setting this up and staying up in the wind had finally become a difficult chore. I started to search for similar tension system replacements, but the ones I found had functional issues, especially if not facing into the wind. I had seen these truss canopies at the beach for years but never thought much about them. They seemed unwieldy and heavy. Any way I decided to give them a try and chose the Crown Shades. I'm glad I did.Pros:1. I had never raised one of these before and it was so quick and stupid easy. No threading of shock cord poles thru sleeves as the fly canopy flies all over in the wind like a kite. Open pop-up partially, engage the center lock mechanism and boom its up. Then just raise the legs as needed.2. One reason its so fast to set up is after first use it can be collapsed and stowed with the canopy on!3. No collection of bags for separate parts. Everything needed fits in the provided protective cover and attached accessory pouch.4. The protective cover is legit. So often on these products the carry bag is a throw away. This one is made of sturdy material, has well designed strap closures and sturdy handles. Best part is it actually fits back on the collapsed frame and canopy, easily! The stowed unit has wheels to roll across hard surfaces.5. Customer service. We bought the 10x10 originally. It was great but we decided it was too big. When we requested a return through Amazon, the seller contacted us directly and was proactive with suggestions, options and accommodating on the return for an 8x8 swap.6. If needed, all the instructions are permanently attached on cover exterior.7. Did I mention this was stupid easy to put up, takedown and stow?Cons:1. None really, we have set it up in the wind but not at the beach yet.2. I wish the 8x8 had the top vent like the 10x10, but maybe its not needed for the amount fabric area.3. The tent stakes, though stout, will be worthless in the sand. Amazon has many inexpensive corkscrew in sand stake products.4. It is heavier than the tent fly systems you might be used to. To me its worth the trade off, especially if using a beach cart.I cant wait to get this to our next family beach vacation. With the one included sidewall it will easily shade all eight of us.

The canopy arrived fast. We opened it and set it up right away. The construction is very high quality. It took less than 5 minutes to set up!We wanted to set it up at home the first time so we would be familiar with it AND to attach the canopy. Read that the canopy can stay attached when its put back into its bag - TRUE. Plenty of room to fit easily back into the bag with the canopy on. Perfect. The built in wheels worked great to roll the bagged canopy into the RV (which is where it will live). It does not take up much space at all in the RV. We will be headed out RV-ing in a couple days and the canopy will provide is with additional shade.This is a fantastic canopy. 1-person can easily set it up and put it away so amazingly fast.The 4 bags velcro onto the 4 legs to add weight in light wind. There are also spikes and guiwire rope if needed.The top center vent will help keep the canopy stable and aid in cooling.The 10 x 10 ft size is perfect for our needs.It will provide shelter from any rain that comes on out camping trips too and can also protect a tent if needed.The additional side wall is a great feature - it will easily attach to any side of the canopy frame in seconds.This was a fairly big expense, but it was on sale on Amazon which helped a lot in my decision process.I expect years of use and am glad that a replacement canopy is also available when the time comes to replace it without having to buy a new frame etc too.Delighted with this purchase. Highly recommending it.

I had read good reviews for this tent before buying and they were so right. This tent is worth the money. The metal frame is sturdy. The tent cover is well made and not flimsy. Setting it up isn’t bad with the center push button to click into place. Extending or shortening the legs is really easy too with an easy press button. No fingers getting stuck trying to push anything in. The case is sturdy and fits the whole thing even with the canopy staying on. It’s not the lightest but it has built in wheels on the bottom and it wasn’t too bad wheeling it to my vendor spot. Adding the back wall on was easy and definitely helped keep the sun out!

This canopy is perfect for our needs. Ease of setup and take down, sturdy, everything you need included, we were pleased.Unfortunately, setting up the first time at our vendor booth one of the legs would not extend. Only to find a bend in that leg, see photos. We had no choice but to take a hammer and do our best to pound it enough to allow the leg to move.We would still buy this same canopy again and from the same supplier.

After being at a big event with my brand new tent sadly it blew over by a big gust of wind even though I used sandbags. The frame was damaged in a couple spots where it joined together. We repaired it with duct tape and it held up for 3 days. I had another event right after and forgot to replace the duct tape with some screws and bolts. It held up for another 3 days. Once I finally fixed it properly it’s been working fine with no issues. I’m amazed and glad I didn’t have to buy another pup up tent right away. I love the colour and I recommend this product.

Don’t waste your time on one of the cheapo canopies. The extra cost is well worth it in having a good quality product, well made, and designed for easier setup. I’m very pleased with this canopy. Having used a cheaper one before I can really see and appreciate the better value this one provides.

When I finally got to use it it was pass return, it was broken😡 in the package.
