This is a nice little mat that adds a festive flavour - the pattern is attractive, and with a backing that ensures it shouldn't slip think this will look good at the front door. It does arrive folded which means it comes quite creased but am hoping those drop out over time.

A real patterned carpet has its pattern because every loop of fibre has its own individual colour.That means as it is worn down, the colour stays the same, since the whole fibre is coloured.This rug is more like a towel with a Christmas design printed on top...The background loop is either white or light beige, and the inks of the design are printed on top.That means when you stroke the rug 'against the grain', you see the white fibres beneath.It is quite nicely done, and feels smooth and plush, but it is difficult to get away from the factthat it is a print, rather than a true carpet. I suppose that is to be expected when price is taken into consideration.The under-surface has a mildly rubberised finish, so it shouldn't easily slip along the ground.The rug came tightly folded in its package, and those folds didn't look like they would ever naturally come out.Thus, I went over it with a garment steamer, and over something like 10 minutes, was able to get those folds out.I have a suspicion that some of the fibres didn't like the heat treatment, as some of them don't easily stroke flat anymore.Anyway, that is better than the folds being continuously visible for ever.I wonder if it is too much to ask for such rugs to be rolled rather than folded for transport ?!Anyway, the design itself is pleasant enough, and fulfils it's Christmas theme nicely.It is possible I have been spoiled with genuine carpets throughout my life, and thus this is a bit of a disappointment.It just scrapes 4 stars, as it looks & feels nice from a distance. Close-up, I'm less sure !!

Ich kommt relativ klein und gefaltet in einer Plastiktüte verschweißt. Nach dem auspacken wirkt der Teppich optisch ansprechend, hat aber an den Falt und Knickstellen leichte Material Schwächen. Man bekommt das ganze optisch relativ gut kaschiert, allerdings lassen sich die knicke nicht wirklich aus dem Teppich Entfernen. Wir versuchen das Ganze noch einmal mit einem Dampfglätter, sind aber wenig positiv gestimmt. Grundsätzlich ist der Teppich solide verarbeitet, lediglich die Optik wird durch die vielen knicke und dünnen Stellen des Stoffes an den Knickstellen getrübt.
