Block House Horseradish Natural Hot - 1 X 90 G

If you need prepared horseradish as opposed to the sauces made with cream and mustard then you are out of luck in the UK. In the US this stuff is readily available but in most of Europe and certainly in GB you just can't get it. You can try and import from US or Canada which is a pain and expensive or you can go for Block House. This is the real deal - I use it primarily for making American style cocktail sauce and only prepared horseradish works, the sauces available here are useless for this purpose. If you order 1 jar the P&P makes it a bit pricey but if you order 6 jars then it is perfectly reasonable. I am on my second order of 6 and I will be back for more. Excellent product, excellent service.

Very good and hot I have had trouble locating the horseradish without the creamy sauce and at last I have found it. Just a small comment the jars seemed very small for the cost. But otherwise a pleasing purchase

The product arrived well packaged and within a few days, as expected.Unfortunately, it is not as hot as I expected. I could eat the whole content of the jar in one go. Normally, an amount in size of a pea would kick straight into back of my head, nose and eyes. This is nowhere near to that sensation. I know that sharpness depends on the technique and timing of adding vinegar to grated horseradish, but would expect professional producers to make it better than I can do, by grating the root myself. It is a shame that The English Provander's grated horseradish is no longer available to buy anywhere. It was the best product of that kind.

Been looking for this for ages as no longer readily available in shops. Very very hot!! Reminds me of my childhood - will definitely order more!!!

This is not a creamed sauce. It is pure horseradish. Great on its own or mixed in a recipe. I have tried many other brands and ended up throwing them out. Now I have found this brand will keep on buying it. It is exactly what is says on the label and that is natural horseradish hot. Thank you.

Having been on the hunt for a few months for a standout HOT horseradish sauce, this unfortunately didn’t tick the box. It has the highest content of horseradish in all the products selected but not nose burning heat.

Arrived promptly and a good size jar. Flavour / hotness similar to the UK product I used to buy but which is now discontinued so very happy!

Grated horseradish is impossible to find in the UK now (it's all creamed) so this was a great find. Great company, lovely hot natural horseraddish.
