The Rising of the Shield Hero Volume 11

Party growing!
Volume 11 finds Naofumi on the hunt for the other heroes, in an attempt to get them to power themselves up the way he has: Using the power up methods the other heroes used. But after learning the whereabouts of the Spear Hero, and setting out to find him, once he meets up with him, what he finds isn’t at all what he expected.Abandoned by his previous party members, Naofumi finds the Spear Hero depressed, almost dangerously so. And the Sword Hero isn’t much better off. Especially since he finds the woman who betrayed him when he was first summoned to this world, “Bitch,” polluting the Sword Hero’s mind. And this was mere moments after he’d almost talked him into joining him.I swear, every time that woman shows up, all hell breaks loose, and this time is no different. Once she disowns the Spear Hero and sinks her hook into the Sword Hero, they both disappear. When Naofumi meets both the Spear Hero and Sword Hero next, they’ve both lost themselves to the “Curse” Series of weapons they’ve unlocked. I won’t spoil which Curse weapons they unlock, but I was surprised when I saw that they’d gone through enough to even unlock the series of weapons in the first place. I mean, they hadn’t gone through nearly as much as Naofumi.Still, them unlocking those weapons isn’t even the worst part of this Volume, because Naofumi now has assassins after him, hell bent on killing the heroes of this world. And since he can only defend, and these assassins don’t have the same type of restraint (or morals) as Glass and company, things get really dicey for Naofumi and his growing party. These otherworldly assassins are stronger than Naofumi and his party, so despite needing to round up the other heroes and get them stronger, he also has to fight for his life multiple times this go round. I wonder what he’d give to have at least one part of his journey not have him under attack or dealing with world-ending phenomena. But, I guess that wouldn’t really make for an entertaining read for most, so life-threatening fights it is! The other heroes have always rubbed me the wrong way, and that doesn’t really change with this Volume, though I suppose the epilogue is a step in the right direction. Still, I’m curious to see how the hero round up/recruitment will play out in the coming Volumes. It’s sure to be a hectic ride, given that Naofumi will have to keep his head on a swivel in order to be ready for the assassins coming for him and the other heroes.

Great addition, however ...
This is a great addition to the story, I have read these online and fell in love with these characters. Though it seems that things have happened differently then I remember them and that makes it more entertaining, I find myself wanting to speed read this book as fast as I can. Naofumi is such a great character and can't wait to see the anime adaptation next. Anything Raphtalia does not approve and Raph-chan does always makes me giggle or laugh with such joy.My only problem with this book is what others have put down. What is up with these translations?! I feel like there are so many errors in this book, and when I think that it was done by professionals I wonder where they are or at least the proofreaders to correct these easy mistakes. This is a peeve of my when I think that the fan subs have done, what seems like the better job. For a story this big I am sad that it is hurt by such a big thing, and this is not the first or will it be the last time. However, that will not perturb me from loving this book. I can't wait to get to the next book eventually, cause I will without a doubt be rereading these books because the story is that good. This is one of the two light novel series I have purchased. Would love to have more of these stories appear here in America, cause they are so good.

Slowly, but surely
There was a welcomed change of pace in this volume. The other heroes are starting to see what is true in the world they are in. The action opened up new plots that I imagine will be answered in later volumes. The new characters are adding some depth to the shield hero's character and helping move him closer to his main goal.

Well deserving 5 star
Well deserving of the 5star rating I gave it every book in this series are on par with one another constantly leaving you on the edge of your seat craving for more until you finish the book. This installment to the series has a lot of plot placement for the next book there is action but not as much as previous installments however just because I say that I still say how this book was well put together and it never leaves you with unanswered questions well none that won't be answered in the next book.

The rebuilding ark
The tale of the hero of the shield comes to a slight, but very enjoyable and heart warming stop, while Naofumi puts his back in rebuild the home of his cheriched companion. This part of the tale is the one I like the best. A little more true to the original web novel, more funny and slightly emotional. Enjoy seeing Naofumi in all his Tsundere Glory! Trying hard to look bad while he cooks, care, educate, heal and construct a home for those who need him and his protection! This is truly the path of the shield... Or pot Lid... You will see 😁

Development!
There were so many twists and turns in this particular volume. There were times I was dying of laughter and others where I was hyped for what was happening. All in all this volume was one of the better ones yet. Can't wait for the next one!

Awesome
I couldn't put this book down. I enjoy the action and the characters are so well written. Even though the Shield Hero has been cleared of charges it feels like he still struggles. After 11 books he finally gets one of the other heroes to trust him. I am sad that I am almost caught up in the series. I want more.

The next chaptet on Naofumi's path. And, he's found yet another threat to the world. At least he's making some progress with his goals.

It's a filler
Worst book so far in the series. It seems like it could have been shortened to 40 or 50 pages. The end is OK. Let's hope the next one is better

Fantastica
