Inexpensive, sturdy, decent quality. Great for beginners or budgets.
My daughter just started her first band camp, and while she currently thinks the trumpet is her new love in life, I'm waiting a bit before I start sinking serious money into it. I've learned that the whims of children are fickle, so all I was looking for was something cheap that would elevate her music while she was practicing. This fit the bill perfectly. It's exactly what it looks like, and it's my opinion that at this price point there's really not much room to complain. It folds down to save space, is lightweight and portable, and does what it's supposed to. It comes with a nice little carrying bag. If she sticks with it I'll buy her a nicer one as she needs it, but until then, this is perfect. Buy this if you're shopping for a beginner or if you're on a budget; if they're a beginner they won't know the difference and if you're on a budget you'll be happy you saved a buck or two - it's amazing that we can even buy things that are this well made this cheaply in this day and age.

Cheap, but gets the job done
All I wanted was a basic music stand for cheap, and that's what I got! I like that it comes with a carrying case, makes it handy for moving from practice to gig. My only qualm is that during initial setup the top bar that slides into the base hole got completely stuck. While trying to wrestle the lever that secures it into place, the bar slid down all the way into the base and would not come back out. It took some hot water and a lot of manpower to get it to slide back up. Likewise, the tabs that secure each section are a pain to get into place. You will definitely have to push with some force to get each tab to hold. These are expected issues with a stand so low-priced though, and once everything was secured into place I didn't have any other problems. If you're in need of a basic stand, this one will do just fine.

Good for the money
This music stand is good for the money. It offers easy portability since it folds down and is compact. I only occassionally use a music stand and this was a good option for me. Plus, it came with a bag for when the stand is not being used. If you plan on using this stand on a regular basis then I would opt for a different kind of stand that is a bit more sturdy. It's a good stand for the money. One thing that other people might not like is that you can't tilt the music holder forwards or backwards. I found the position to be fine, but some people might want to be able to change the tilt.

This stand was easy to put together and easy to use
I purchased this item for my kids and husband. My daughter plays the flute and my husband and son play the guitar. This stand was easy to put together and easy to use. It has a height adjustment so you can adjust the height. I like this because depending on who is playing they can adjust it to where they need it. It hold a music book well. It is on the light side when it comes to materials. It would be easy to knock over but when you move it from room to room and up and downstairs, the lightweight makes it easier to move. I would recommend this to anyone that needs something to hold a book while learning.

Does The Job
I was looking for a simple stand to carry back and forth to weekly choir rehearsals. I didn't want to spend too much, so this fit the bill. It is not of the highest quality, but it does the job. I dislike that I can't get the piece on top to sit totally even, so my music looks a bit skeewompus (Is that even a word?). Also, it won't hold anything too heavy. I have a small 3-ring binder with a few pages of music and it can handle that. Much more and I imagine it would collapse. If you are planning to use your music stand more often than 4 or 5 times a month, I'd say pay more and get something higher quality.

2 Things You Should Consider
This is a good black stand. However, 2 things to consider before purchasing it: 1) it is not super sturdy as music falls off sometimes but 2) it is super compact and helps free up space in your gear bag. What is more important to you? Is it more space or a bigger, thicker, and more space consuming stand. The trade here is lack of sturdy frame for compact design You decide. I would buy it again. I am happy for space myself.

Great Portable Music Stand
This collapsible music stand is great. It comes in a little caring bag and (atleast for me) was well packaged. Although this is a great product I would like to say to be careful when handling it, for me it seems like it can be easily broken. Assuming you won't be using this as a baseball bat it should hold up very nicely.

Fell A Little Short
The item would've been great, but the section that holds the music cannot be adjusted forward or backwards, so that top part can only be used at one angle, which isn't good because sometimes you need it to tilt forward more when you're seated and backward when you're standing. This really bothers me and is a feature that I thought came with all music stands of this style, so I didn't think I had to look for that feature to be specified. The stand is definitely more stable than other stands of this design, but the non-adjustment ability of the music holder is disappointing.
