On Cloud Nine (Perks & Benefits Book 3)

Such a great read!
On Cloud Nine was so cozy, cute, and spicy! It’s cheesy at times, but that's cool, and the romance feels genuine and giddy! I enjoyed the setup of this, which included a combination of secret crush/fake dating. Both Molly and Matthew, coworkers and friends, have a financial incentive to marry each other. Here are a few things that drew me to the book:+Molly’s super capable, but still finding herself; she shyly initiates her bedroom fantasies, including some romantasy inspo ✨🌶️✨+Matthew’s a nerdy, save the environment entrepreneur, cat dad; confident and giving 🤓😻😏+one bed, fake dating/secret crush, praise, and more fun spice+great tension, spice starts around 1/3 in ⏱️

matly owns me 🥹☁️🪩🐈🩷
thank you so much to the authors for the arc!!! 😚the easiest five stars I’ve ever given, this book was so cozy and warm, matly is everything to me 💖molly ❤️ my billionaire fashion icon, I absolutely loved her. She was funny and smart and caring, I loved the way she was so vulnerable and felt her emotions so strongly. Her journey and openness with mental health was so inspiring. Seeing her grow from a people-pleasing, mirrorball girly to a confident woman who is sure of herself was very personal to me, her character development is so palpable, you can just see her grow with each chapter 🤧 her family struggles, the way she handles her feelings, and her anxiety we’re all so relatable. I loved seeing her feel free from the expectations of other people & understand that she has to live for herself. I loved her story and her development, it was so emotional and touching & I just want to hug her 🫂matthew 🐈 the definition of a perfect book boyfriend. I loved how sweet, caring and attentive he was. He was a very real and personal character for me, his struggles with not feeling like he’s enough & his fertility issues touched my heart. I loved how his experience in past relationships prompted his internal conflict but he didn’t let it be a barrier in his relationship. I loved seeing him get past his fears and insecurities. Also, the mouth on this man?!?!?!?! my consent & praise king 🧎🏻♀️I loved him so much & I just want to protect him from the world 🤺matly 💘 their relationship is what truly made me fall in love with this book. Their love was so pure and genuine and raw and real. They communicated with and understood each other so well. Their relationship progressed so naturally. It was built on trust and you could feel how fiercely their love for each other was🥺 but also their dynamic was just so.. HOT?!?! like their banter, THE SPICE, the cosplay, reenacting romanatasy scenes?!?!?! I LOVE THEMthe plot and premise of this book was so good!!! the age gap was handled so well & the fake dating/engagement of convenience was so fun. I loved seeing matly push past the boundaries of faking it and experimenting with their feelings for each other. I was LIVING for the luvery and lico cameos!! I also loved the pets & the ending was so perfect for matly🥹I’m having such a hard time deciding if our scorching summer or this one is my favorite but I don’t have to pick 🤭 kels and denise stone are one of my favorite authors, their writing is incredible, the pacing throughout all their books is perfect & their stories just tug at my heart strings every time!! I truly love these authors and they can do no wrong in my eyes 💗this is the third book in the perks and benefits series: a forced proximity, age gap, fake dating romcom with a nerdy cat daddy and a billionaire heiress 🤭 go pick up the entire series & thank me later!!! 💓

pretty good…but inconsistent
The premise for the story is very good - fake marriage is one of my favorite tropes BUT…the story DRAGS. And the character behaviors and motivations are all over the place. The final four or five chapters are completely unnecessary especially the scene in the snow. Where the heck did that come from?? I really enjoyed Water Under the Bridge, but I doubt I’ll read another novel from these two.

The healthiest romance of my 2023, probably.
The way this book just squeezed my heart and would not let it go! I was not prepared for the level of vulnerability for both characters and it was absolutely one that gut-punched me from start to finish but in the best, most cathartic way.Molly has lived in a gilded cage her entire life, not realizing how much of herself has been stripped away one tiny layer at a time .. until she is confronted with the reality of what this pre-planned future holds (thanks to her work-crush Matthew). Matthew sees one glimpse into the world she's part of and, without thinking, offers up a way to give her some breathing room.Cue broken engagement, fake-engagement/marriage, forced proximity and family wealth with strings attached. As Molly and Matthew let their barriers down while they work to convince the world (specifically Molly's parents) that they're madly in love to win the trust she must be married to receive, they find that what they crave in another person may be possible after all.The sensitivity of the topics discussed in this story is *chef's kiss* perfection. People talk all the time about reading books that emotionally eviscerate you and this is the first one that I've had the pleasure (slash pain lol) to read. The way Matthew coaxes Molly into her whole-self, and the way she babysteps into loving who that authentic self is may be one of the best plots of the year as far as contemporary romance goes. While both characters possess large amounts of money, Matthew somehow manages to come across as an every-day guy compared to Molly's insane wealth. If you like:- age-gap romances with minimal gap in number but larger gap in relationship and life experience (which is approached with complete understanding and empathy by the more experienced party)- character growth for both MCs where each brings out the very best in the other, including honesty about fantasies and celebrating their inner nerds- seeing the glitz and glam of high society life from the perspective of someone who's never felt like they belong to it.... you should read this. So many healthy examples of strong relationship communication methods - I honestly think this is one of the reasons I loved this story so much.

On Cloud Nine Review!
Our Scorching Summer was the first book from the Perks & Benefits series I’ve read, and I was absolutely obsessed. After reading Water Under The Bridge, I knew from then on that I’d read anything written by Kels and Denise Stone!I was lucky enough to receive an eARC of On Cloud Nine.I wasn’t sure if any couple could top Lily and Nico, but Molly and Matthew?…😍This book was easily a 5-star read for me!I don’t think I’ve ever loved a female main character as much as I love Molly Greene. She is so down to earth, thoughtful, kind, and overall a very relatable character. I think many people can see parts of themselves in Molly and can relate to some of her struggles and feelings. I found myself rooting for her from the very beginning, and I loved seeing her flourish.Matthew Hudson is simply a dream. The sweetest man with the dirtiest of mouths. He is so genuine, caring, and is so supportive of Molly. I mean, a cat dad who cares about the environment, knows how to cook, does crossword puzzles, and is kinda nerdy? The perfect man and boyfriend.Their love is so sweet and gentle, and they are so patient with each other. This book had me swooning the entire time. I don’t think I have ever highlighted in a book as much as I did in On Cloud Nine. And the spice? Man. It was hot.On Cloud Nine is comfort in the form of a book, and I already want to reread it.If you’re considering reading On Cloud Nine (or any other book from the Perks & Benefits series), do it!! You won’t regret it ☺️

So good!
I have loved the whole Perk and Benefits series so far but this is definitely my favourite! Matthew and Molly have the most beautiful chemistry and healthy communication. There is no third act break up as everything is always resolved. The spicy scenes are some of my favourite ever (library, forest, art) and now definitely need some elf ears! Cannot wait for book 4 - would so recommend this whole series!

Matthew Hudson is HUSBAND MATERIAL
They have done it again. I don’t think I will ever be over On Cloud Nine. I love the previous books but really On Cloud Nine is my absolute favorite book of theirs. The writing style is exquisite and they really capture and bring the attention of deeper aspects of their characters to life.Molly Greene is the definition of a Mirrorball Girl. I instantly connected with her and found myself relating to her to her character. I adored seeing her journey throughout this book – watching her change from her people-pleasing ways to finding the freedom of being herself was so rewarding. She is also a FMC that most girls can relate to. Molly is constantly torn between two versions of herself – the one her parents expect her to be, and her true self.Matthew “Cat Daddy” Hudson – an absolutely perfect book boyfriend. He is a green-flag, healthy boundaries, consent King who treats Molly like the queen she deserves to be – he later realizes that she is. He constantly had her back and was there for her through all the crap her parents put her through. I loved seeing his character grow throughout the books and seeing him overcome his insecurities and fears in a relationship – I loved him so much. He is undoubtedly one of the most swoon-worthy men ever written by Kels & Denise. He in the bedroom is just - in the best and hottest way ever. It’s always the quiet ones.I loved their moments at the On Cloud Nine resort – it added so much fun to the book. Also, the way they talked about male infertility in this book was so well written – the way Molly and Matthew worked through it together was so beautiful. These two brought out the best parts of each other and were able to grow & create this genuine relationship built on trust and care. Molly & Matthew were so adorable together & knew exactly what the other needed which made the whole story so beautiful.

But her journey for herself was beautifully crafted and created.Matthew’s will to stand up for Molly and act perfectly as a man written by a woman made me swoon in every chapter because this guy is a gem.His ability to notice each and everything that concerns Molly and attempt to make her feel that she can fly was so heartwarming.I loved how the story was wrapped up where every chapter felt like an epilogue 😩🥹🫂
