If you have a front suspension, don't buy ... read more
This is a well made product, and I would have installed it on my hybrid, but with front suspension fork it just will not work. Unfortunately I had to return it for that reason. (The return was no- hassle and credited to my account within two days!)Like all SKS, this is good stuff!

Fenders!
As promised.

Great service
There was a defect in the fenders but SKS promptly resolved the problem with no difficulty. I've had a smaller version of these fenders for years and these look to be just as good!

Very good fenders for an old racer turned into a commuter.
After reading reviews, specs, widths, and such, I was very concerned about the fit of these fenders. Especially since they'd be going on an early 90's full Campy Record Miyata, which is an old racing frame, with tighter clearances. But, after receiving the fenders, and taking the time to set up the supports, check clearances, and such, I can honestly say these are exceptionally good fenders. I did not need to trim anything, they fit where they are supposed to. I'm running 700 x 23 Michelin tires and clearance is good. I haven't checked my 25's yet, but I'm thinking that fit may be a bit too tight. On the cosmetic side, the reflective tape is a very nice addition, and should help to light up the bike after dark. The reflector on the back fender also should be nice, if lights run out of battery.Overall, I'm pretty happy with how they went on, the look, and the performance. On the commute into the office this morning, they were nice and quiet, with no rubbing. I would not have known they were on the bike unless I looked at them.Update - after having these for a month, I've switched them to my new commuter bike - a Marin Nicasio. It has much wider clearances for tires (and fenders.) I did have to purchase new supports as I had cut the old ones for the Miyata, and that length was too short for the new bike. The Nicasio has 30mm tires, and clearances are very good with the new supports. I have some light rubbing that I discovered on the ride this morning, but shouldn't be too hard to track down and adjust. I'm curious as to how wide a tire I can get on the new bike - maybe 40? We'll have to see what the winter/spring season brings. Still very happy with these fenders.

Installation was... interesting.
I just received this fender in the mail and installed it. I'll update this review when I've used it for awhile.I thought the installation would be straightforward and it'd be easy to install. It was not. The instructions are not very clear and it's surprisingly not intuitive.I got it installed; it took about an hour. A word of advice, install the brackets on the bike, install the fenders on the bike, then cut the brackets to size and connect them to the fenders. The instructions weren't entirely clear. Maybe that's what I was supposed to do.Now that they're on the look good. I'll test-ride them tomorrow and see how everything goes.

Great fenders.
I've used the fenders for about 500 miles so far, and they help in the rain and the dusty trails keeping the water bottles, the bike and myself clean. Installation is a bit trickey, but doable with patience. The fender material is a somewhat hard plastic and very durable. The wire braces are strong and very hard to cut, I used a high speed cut off wheel similar to a Dremel. I don't recommend a hack saw or a wire cutters. I had to elongate the top hole in the rear fender to accomodate my circa 2008 Specialized Sirrus Sport frame to get an even separation from the tire. ( Photo is before elongation). I saw other bikes with these fenders but without the rubber tops for the wire braces, not a good Idea. The cut wire braces can be sharp. Now with fenders, in general, my toes sometimes hit the front fender. Need to get my straps on.

Good fenders
Good fenders. Keep me dry and clean during wet messy rides. The reflective strip is a nice touch. Install wasnโt too bad. The front fender broke after about 5 months. The company (SKS) tried to tell me that Amazon was responsible for the manufacturers warranty and I should go through Amazon for a replacement. After I told them that cannot be possible since itโs manufacturers warranty they quickly sent a replacement fender. I thought it was a little strange they tried to pass the buck to Amazon.

A smaller box or more padding. *updated 12/25*
The fenders arrived in a massive box with a tiny bit of packing paper in the bottom. This caused the staples on one side of the packing to break loose and scratch the front fender. I assume it also caused the huge kink in the rear fender. It's hard to show in a picture, but the rear is severely bent and the front slightly. Because they are plastic I can't bend the back. It's a pity because the fenders themselves look amazing as I expect from SKS and were exactly what I wanted. ************UPDATE*************So I decided "screw it" and didn't send them back because I really needed them.First off, it you are not "handy", don't bother with these.Look at my photos to see how much they had to be customised in order to fit on my bike. They are very, very far from universal. But I do believe you can botch them onto any big.I needed a trip to Home Depot that get some different washers and 2 35mm (longer) M10 bolts so i could use the brake mount to mount the fenders, as I had nowhere else.I know they don't want people messing with their brakes in order to mount this product, obvious lawsuit. Also, the stays have to bent (all except one, for me anyway) in order to fit around disc brakes and just to help them actually make the fender be tight and keep it straight and the tire in the middle. *****make sure your wheel is 100% straight before starting, because once you have measured and cut, you might have just screwed yourself********Anyway, I am changing the review from a 2 start to a 1 star because not only the terrible condition on arrival, but the hassle of getting them installed. The do look beautiful though but they are not for beginners or someone looking for a quick fix.

Sent wrong sized nuts
One on the left is the one SKS sent the one on the right is one I lucky had in stock sort of thing you get from AliExpress not a name brand so questionable as to why you would when rookie mistakes like this happen. You need to buy an additional bracket if you have suntor forks. After all that faff they're great fenders,I have a massive puddle on my commute and they've been solid. It has thrown three bolts since owning the stay bolts I got with the adaptor have a slight lip on them and haven't budged through my commute. You'll get straight bolts that can move laterally with ease even with a bit of loctite.

Same old problem
I've been buying these mudguards for years and they all have the same problem; the flimsy clip that joins the rear guard to the frame at the bottom bracket breaks/comes loose and falls off within weeks. Still, I consider it a safety feature because people can hear me rattling along in and out of potholes from miles away.

Excellent
These mudguards do their job perfectly keeping me dry and look great on my Giant Escape (non disc version), they're nice and light and have the reflective strips to give an bit of extra visibility at night time. Fitting is straightforward...the only issue I had was the mounting holes on the rear guard on the Giant are at 90degrees to the holes in the mudguards (thanks Giant) but this was easily overcome with a few tie wraps.

Tricky to fit with concealed front mounting, but good once done
On unwrapping guards both looked twisted, and one had wonky trim (see photo). After fitting much of the apparent twist is resolved by adjusting mounting spurs, but still a little at front. Use of SKS mounting bolts required bending of the spurs as shown, but good result (see pic).

Good kit for touring or winter bike
Well made easy install with lots of spares. Once on the bike they are solid, even comes with spacers for front disk brake
