My Favourite Kindle Yet! 😉📚
I've loved using Kindles, ever since I bought the 4th Gen Kindle, over a decade ago.I recently bought another 4th Gen, a few months ago, to have as a backup.I've been using a 10th Gen, White, Basic for a few years and loved it, because it (unlike all of the black models, I've ever seen) didn't show fingerprints, which, tbh, annoy the heck out of me!However, recently, as it's always been in a case, so I can't understand why, it's developed a small "crack" in the frame, to the right of the screen, so I decided that maybe it was time to upgrade.Looking at the colours of the 11th Gen 2022 Models, I liked the "Denim," but was worried that, it too, would be plastered with fingerprints in no time. So, I was pleased when they brought out the Green/Matcha coloured model for 2024, (although I would've preferred a white option) in the hope that it wouldn't show fingerprints as much as the black option.I decided to wait for the Black Friday offers and was disappointed to find, that when they were listed on Thursday, at first, that only the black option was reduced on the Amazon Site (I later found that the Matcha also went down in price, later in the day)But the Matcha was on offer in a High Street Store, so I immediately ordered it and picked it up on the same day.I have to say, that the Set Up process was a breeze.I used the Kindle App on my phone and within minutes, it was all set up.I am particularly pleased, having spent hours, in the past, having organized my Library into "Collections," that all of my collections were transferred to the new device, which was something that I was worried about, but no issues. As to the device itself. It's a delight. I didn't think I'd like the "green" colour, but I absolutely love it.It's very compact and lightweight and a pleasure to hold "naked," and/or in a case.NO fingerprints. The front "bezels" on the device are made of some sort of matt "coarse," almost "roughly" textured plastic, which resists fingerprints and which makes it very secure to hold "naked."The screen is clearer and sharper than previous Kindles. The page turning process is very snappy and the screen, very responsive in all actions. One thing I am particularly pleased with, is that I have never been a fan of the "progress in book" option, which I couldn't disable/turn off (permanently) on my 10th Gen Kindle and whenever I did, I was constantly "reactivating it," accidentally, which I found very annoying. However, although the options are still available and I have it set to "page/percentage" I haven't once managed to "change," the status of the progress by accidentally touching the screen, at the bottom. In fact, I have tried to deliberately change the progress, to find that it takes several taps to do so, which is something I'm not at all unhappy about, so I'm happy to leave it on "page/percentage," rather than trying to turn it off completely.I have also purchased the OEM case for the device, which, although very pricey, fits beautifully, is comfortable to hold and doesn't feel "bulky" unlike the OEM case, I briefly tried on the 10th Gen Kindle.I did try a cheaper case, but, sadly, in spite of being advertised for the 11th Gen 2024 Model was too large for it and had to be returned. There don't seem to be that many options, thus far, for this particular model of KIndle. All in all, I would say that it's my favourite Kindle yet.If you're looking for a good basic e-reader for a reasonable (especially at the moment) price, then I would say, look no further.I can thoroughly recommend this device!😉📚

You won't regret 👌🏻
Love the size, love how light it is, love the display, loved the price when I brought it, great battery life. I read this I'm ashamed to say more then actual books 🫣 massively due to its convenience. Back lighting, being small to travel with, light weight, able to one hand it and not get cramped, also the privacy that no one can see what your reading as there's no cover to give it away. Yeah just honestly love it and prefer it.

Great update!
I can't do without my Kindle! My last one gave up after a run through the washing machine (I've had it since 2017) so I had to bite the bullet and order a new one. It was super easy to set up with my amazon account and apart from having to redownload books and get used to the new layout of the library, I'm very happy with it. It's super responsive. I no longer have to thump it to turn the pages. It's great at night. Very clear and easy to adjust. Much lighter and easy to hold compared to my old kindle. I opted to pay extra to get rid of the ads (one of my bugbears) but not sure If the ads would have annoyed me. But I didn't want to take the chance for an extra £10. Super happy with my purchase.

Third time lucky
I purchased this Match Kindle Basic after less-than-ideal experiences with the 12th Generation Paperwhite Signature Addition & the new Colorsoft, because they both had the yellowing along the bottom of the screen that seemed to get gradually worse, so I ended up returning them both & buying this device in their place. For starters this version does not have the warm light settings, meaning the screen cannot develop the yellowing, & that is the main reason I chose to go for a Basic, rather than waiting for the perfect Paperwhite 12th Generation or Colorsoft to be delivered to my door.I am very pleased with this little basic - the screen is smaller (6" rather than 7") but it is so much more crisp; I wanted the Colorsoft for the covers of my books & for the images in my aviation books, but aside from the yellowing of the screen, I felt that the images were not clear, so when this little beauty arrived I expected to be a bit disappointed with the pictures because they are black & white, but I have been very impressed thus far.As you can see from the photos, the images are clear & crisp ... I read a lot of aviation books so the covers are predominantly blue, grey, brown, white, silver & black, but so far I have been able to make out the covers due to the excellent quality of the screen.I was initially a bit worried about the storage, as I do like to buy the titles rather than borrow them from Kindle Unlimited, but I have 334 titles on my device & there is still plenty of room - I have also got KU now as it was part of my package when buying this Kindle Basic.I have been using it every day, for extended periods & the battery life is pretty good, possibly not as good as they advertise, but I never only read for 30 minutes a day; I had it Bluetoothing to my AirPods for about 4 hours on Sunday as I was listening to an Audible title, so technically I'm not using it as their test model prescribes, so it's not a surprise my battery is not lasting very long. I charged it to 100% on the 8th of January (the day it arrived) & I'm averaging around 2-3 hours reading (brightness between 6 & 14 depending on the ambient lighting) & I've also listened to Audible via Bluetooth for around 6 hours & the battery is now down to 33% ... it's not too shabby, I can live with it.I love the Matcha colour, I also like that the device is slightly textured, not smooth & ultra slippy in my hands - I put a case on it when I took it out of the box though; I like the size - it is not too bulky or so small, it's a good size & weight to hold in one hand; the screen is anti-glare so I have not put a screen protector on it, as I don't feel it needs one.I've been a Kindle user for many years, so I can honestly say that this version is an upgrade - before my recent escapades with the new Paperwhite & Colorsoft I had the PW Signature Addition 3rd or 4th Generation (I can't remember exactly which one) but sadly I lost that on holiday in July 2024, hence my need to replace it ... will I buy the new Paperwhite or Colorsoft when they fix the bugs, probably not, I don't see the need for spending that much money when my little Matcha Basic cost me less than £100 & I like it very much.
