Walks in the Yorkshire Dales: Jack Keighley's 50 Favourite Routes

This is a wonderful book. We had a really lovely long weekend in the Yorkshire Dales and did 3 routes out of this book, carrying our young son in a backpack carrier. We found the guide and the accompanying maps easy to follow and most enjoyable. The illustrations and descriptions are fun and informative and the three walks that we did were very pleasant indeed. We would certainly look in to buying more from this author if they are available.

I purchased this just before I went on a walking holiday in the Dales and was very pleased I did so. The walks are clear, well guided and have lots of interesting information about the places you pass through. They also have helpful hints, such as when the best time of year a walk is best to do. I only completed a handful of them but am planning to go back soon and do some more. An extremely good walking guide.
