I bought this to replace a plastic vent that had failed. I am sure that it will outlast the old one. It is a high quality piece.

This static vent work great. The three louvers are light weight and open accordingly as you turn on an exhaust fan. I shielded the vent with a protective cover to keep blowing rain out.Installation is easy. I did add a small strip of weatherstripping to aid in the seal to the structure.It is a little pricy but overall, a great value.

This works fine. My only complaint is it doesn't seal very well. I am using it in my wood shop to exhaust lacquer fumes and sawdust and the small gaps around the sides will allow bugs to enter. I probably need a much bigger opening that I could add a screen to but that is not an option in a rented shop and a screen in my small opening blocks too much air flow. Other than that it is great.

It opens it closes it lets air in and keeps hot air out.

I need one fixed with a screen on the back so I'm having to send this one back.

Opens and closes easily. Could use a coated mesh screen to keep rodents or birds out.
