Look nice, price is good, not hard to assemble!

I absolutely love these bar stools and definitely would recommend! One of the chairs had a tiny spot possibly a return but nothing I can’t bloat out! DEFINITELY LOVE THIS PURCHASE!

I wanted to wait few months to post an honest review for this bar stool. I liked this bar stool because of its appearance, cushion for comfort and sturdiness. I gave it a 4 stars because their joints started to get loosen up in couple months so I had to tighten it over period of time.

Had ordered 2 of the Nathan James Hylie Bar Stools. 1 of them was perfect, the other had come with the holes assembled in wrong place to attach legs to. I contacted customer service and was helped quickly, professionally and very kindly by Holly. She helped with sending me a replacement bar stool (after I emailed photos of defects) and was told I didn't even need to send back the defective one.I received the replacement chair in a timely manner and they both look wonderful and are very comfortable. I was also contacted afterwards to make sure everything was ok. To top it off I even received a Thank You card with a small box of chocolates saying sorry for inconvenience. No company has ever done that for me before! I thought it was a very kind gesture.This is a company I would definitely order from again because customer service went above and beyond!

Tried to get a color that matched our Oak. Not even close.When we reached out to Mfg they said that it was the light brown.Nice, strong seat just bad color description.

These were so easy to assemble and are sooo sturdy. We got 4 of the faux leather and one of them came with the wrong fabric, but we easily returned it at Kohl's and got a replacement from the company. We looked at similar stools at furniture stores, but this was far superior in quality to any of them, which were also much more expensive. Would totally recommend Nathan James, at least for these stools... they seem like a company who genuinely wants to make their customers happy.

I have bought and returned several other stools, and initially this seemed better by comparison: the specs are as advertised (so I finally found one with the right height), and it’s comfortable and reasonably attractive. Assembly was as expected until the last step — putting in the secondary screws to stabilize the footrest bars. There are eight of these smaller screws, to match the eight pre-drilled holes, but only two grabbed properly and stayed in. The others spun around in holes that were slightly too big. When I righted the stool, they fell out. I didn’t want to deal with disassembling the thing and shipping it back, so I tried to jerry-rig it by jamming rolled-up black electrical tape over the screw heads and sealing them in with more tape. What a slovenly solution and disappointing experience. I’ve come to dread these DIY assemblies that inevitably suffer from poorly engineered parts. How hard is it to drill a properly sized hole for a screw??UPDATE: After notifying the company of the problem, I received a prompt and gracious response resolving the issue. This is rare under any circumstances but particularly (in my experience) with Amazon vendors. If I have to order similar products again, I will seek out this company rather than take my chances elsewhere.

The stools are very nice. I hate that the screw came lose and you have to tighten them.

They seem to be a good quality and comfortable.

These stools are perfect! They are comfortable and sturdy! They fit perfectly under my island. I would purchase these again.

The assembly was easy until you get to the foot rests. They were to tighten by myself several people had to try. Besides that the chairs are supper fashionable. The most comfortable bar stool I even sat on. Hopefully they last for a long time.

Great stools, a breeze to assemble. But note they are most definitely not the light grey they appear to be in the photos. They’re absolutely a beigey grey. They’re still a nice colour and I’m happy with them, but if your going for a true light grey I wouldn’t get these based on the photos and cross ur fingers they turn up like that. I ordered these after reading some reviews about the colour but for me I knew I’d be fine with them either way- It was more about the style for me. They’re oddly hard to find, at a good price..
