Hey guys, I'm a normal human, not a bot. This simply didn't work. It would show the charging symbol, but still drain the battery. And it certainly didn't charge AND listen to music at the same time. I did restart my phone prior to plugging it in, as it instructed on the plastic bag the dongle came in.

I got this so I could charge my phone and listen to music while sitting at my desk at work (I run too many applications on my computer, and adding music on to that would slow everything down). It seems to be working fine! It charges my phone and I can hear my music just fine through my headphones. One slight downside: I use the apple headphones with the remote. The pause/play function works, but the volume buttons do not work through this adaptor. That’s not a big deal to me since I can just press the buttons on my phone, and I knew from the reviews that there might be a few slight flaws with this product. Like many companies, apple makes it difficult for 3rd party products to work perfectly with its products.

I received the item today and immediately followed the instructions on the plastic bag. I turned my phone off... waited the three minutes and after plugging it in the only thing that worked was the charging port and it charges very slowly. It takes a few tries to even get the “lighting bolt” to come on then sometimes it says not supported. The “headphone” part you can hear noise. The quality is horrible. Also you can’t use a square swipe with it. I swore when i first clicked buy it had 5 stars now it only has two i should have waited.

I actually tried three different kinds of this charger adapter. I have the iPhone 7 plus which means I have the choice to either charge my phone or plug in an aux cord and listen to tunes over my car stereo. Listening to music while I drive is a huge stress reliever for me and normally the radio irritates me because of the commercials and lack of creativity in choosing music to play. I mean how many times have you heard the same song being played at the same time on one or two or three different stations!Anyway I followed the directions (which weren't very clear) and my phone would play but it would never charge. In fact it seemed to start dying faster than normal. As I said before I bought two more from two different vendors wondering if it was just this batch the seller had. The case was the same for each of the adapters. Thankful I was able to return each one. Sad I am still in the same predicament I was originally in and choosing between charging my phone or playing my jams.

If you are buying this item to charge your iPhone and listen to music at the same time, be advised that this product does NOT WORK. I felt confident after reading good reviews but this did not work for my iPhone 7 Plus. Music adapter worked fine for my auxiliary port in car, but when I tried to charge my phone, my phone had a pop up telling me the device was not supported and it wouldn’t charge.

I have been using this product for my car. I wanted the option to charge my phone and listen to music simultaneously. A week ago I noticed that while listening to Spotify or music on my iTunes account in the car, the songs would skip both backward and forward. For days I was confused as to why this was happening. I assumed it was my phone or a corrupted app. Low and behold, I switched this adapter for another and the problem was immediately fixed! To top it off when using this adapter, I can only hear music from the right hand speakers in my car. I have to fidget with the wire portion of the adapter and not move it in order to fix the problem. All in all, this is a disappointment of a product and I want my money back. Too bad that isn't an option at this point.

I used this once and it was fine. Today I plugged it in so I can charge while listening to music on my iPhone 8, after a few minutes it stopped working completely. I tried removing it and plugging it in again. I checked to make sure my power cable was working, the device is just not working. I know it was cheap, but I still expected it to work more than just twice.

So overall, this adapter works well but something that needs to be made more clear and with more emphasis in the description is that this WILL NOT WORK for phone calls... Only audio from apps (music, video sound, etc.).Be aware that if you need an adapter for phone calls, you will need the dongle that has two lightning ports. You can use headsets with a 3.5mm jack with the corresponding adapter for it and then plug it into the dual lightning port dongle.
