Received this muzzle today. It is constructed of very shoddy materials, especially the metal fastenings are very lightweight and flimsy feeling. I can tell that this would NOT be secure on a dog, which is terrifying when you think of the reasons someone is needing to use this product. Sizing is also off, according to the measuring guide mine should've been bordering on too large for my dog, instead it is bordering on too small.I ordered this muzzle to put in my emergency preparedness kit to have for my dog just in case we were ever evacuated and people were throwing a fuss about my dog (pitbull) to give them peace of mind. She does not need a muzzle in any way, so it's ok that this one is just for show. I hopefully will never need to use it, which is why I am keeping this muzzle instead of returning it.Please do not buy if you truly need a muzzle. Spend the money to get a quality muzzle you can trust.

It was great while it lasted, but my puppy would roll around in the grass and wiggle the straps loose. We measured and it fit securely, and it was a good fit. Unfortunately, my pup wiggled out and then chewed up the rubber that holds the strap. I had high hopes for this product.

He can eat and drink and pant. Very durable!Update: I have had this muzzle for a couple of months now and I can't say enough good things about it. My cranky senior dog wears it when the new puppy is out of his crate. After a couple of incidents I was getting desperate. I had tried other muzzles and they were uncomfortable, easily shredded, and expensive. This one is crazy durable and comfortable. He can eat and drink and pant and I have 2 happy dogs again. Thank you so much for saving my dog!! I highly recommend it.

The basket is perfect, but the strap and buckle that keep it in place is inadequate. To make it work on the two muzzles that I bought, I had to remove the bucket and sew on the strap. Otherwise, it came apart in the midst of use, and was a danger. I .am a breeder of standard poodles and was using to to work with a trainer and my two studs so that they could be together safely. After the modification, it is a fine piece muzzle...but how many of the purchasers are going to fix it to be safe?????

Center strap came off when I tried to put it on my dog. It wasn't sewed on only held on by a plastic clasp, but the muzzle still stayed on without it.

I will be returning this product ASAP. It is very shoddily constructed with no attention to detail. One of the straps is sewn crooked, the buckle has actually been installed backwards, and the clip that holds the "security strap" to the muzzle is just a little clip you buy in the store. It isn't even as wide as the strap to which it is supposed to connect, there is nothing to keep it from sliding around, and the metal presses into the dog's head. I am very unhappy and disappointed because I needed a muzzle for my dog before I can travel to visit my grandchildren. No I have to wait even longer. Oh! It was supposed to be here on the 7th. Today is the 9th and I don't have time to shop for another anyway.

I took my pitbull to the vet and he broke this in the first 20 minutes of using it. It is very weak as the hook is made of plastic. To add to that, there is no hole to actually hook the muzzle. The cage is nice but the straps and hook are fragile, and any dog can use their paws to rip this right off.
