Oh man this has got to be the coolest cookie jar ever. Well it is the Doctor Who Tardis! Anyone who is a big fan of Doctor Who needs to get this. It honestly is more than a cookie jar in my opinion. It is like a mini collectible!!The quality is very nice made of light but durable plastic. The device takes 3 1.5v G13 batteries (pretty common , can buy a 50pk on amazon for cheap) and the batteries are included. The device is pre-assembled as well. As advertised the device makes the famous Tardis sound effect two ways. 1. Pressing the light gentle. 2. Lifting the lid and closing it(no stealing a cookie while Dr. Who is on duty!)The bin for the cookies is very well designed, a tad small length wise but for the most part you should have no problems putting in any reasonably sized cookie. I have to admit the Tardis is much nicer looking than the pictures that I took show.* I really do see this as a collectible and seems almost sacrilege to put cookies in it and get the inside all dirty. To remedy this problem I simply took a 1 gallon zip-lock back and slipped it inside the jar itself then filled it with cookies(a 1/2 gal bag would work better). So now you can zip-lock the cookies so they stay fresh + it won't dirty the inside of the cookie jar.This is a def. buy for any doctor who fan and makes a great gift! I actually bought this as a gift for my father since he's a big Dr. Who fan and loves cookies. 5 Stars! Great quality product that is durable and doesn't feel like some cheap kids toy. Sound effect is spot on and the flashing blue light just is great! Makes me smile every time it goes off.

I love the item; it's one of my favorite things, and I have lots of little things like this. The sound is perfect, nice and loud, and it's very amusing that it allows you to get into the cookie jar without noise, but when you shut it is when you get caught. The one thing I have been concerned about is that when it arrived, the light was jammed forward, and it was stuck so hard I wasn't sure I would be able to free it so that it would work (it didn't). I was finally able to jiggle it loose, but now it's VERY loose, and sits just a little crooked on top. It is so loose that it wasn't working properly - it sounded weak and like the battery was running out. I took the batteries out and tried to re-seat the whole thing, but it's barely held in there at all - it just sits in a cavity, very loosely, and isn't anchored at all. So, I'm not sure how long this item is really going to be operational, and I'm a little wary of keeping it. I have already returned one of these (to a different vendor) because it was damaged by its packing. I'm not sure this was damaged by packing, but it did seem that was the case. The box is very nice, but not necessary, and is not very good for shipping in. Because it's cut away from the top of the cookie jar, rather than pack it into a similar sized box and leaving the top free, or loosely packing it to keep the lid from opening (which would be sufficient), they seem to want to really stuff the packing material in around the top, which has resulted both times I've received this item in damage to the top (first the hinges of the lid were bent so that the lid no longer closed properly, and this one, where the light was jammed forward and stuck). I'd advise some better thought in packing for shipping, but the item itself, if you can get one that works, is a total winner.

This cookie jar is great. I find it quite charming. It is It would nice to see it as a ceramic jar. Any Dr. Who fan would be quite tickled to receive this as a gift.

I took this to work and I am using as a pen holder. The pens tend to be hard to find once in this TARDIS because it is bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. This beauty gets lots of attention, but mostly from people asking what it is. This is even though I left it in the display box with all the big words on it.Warning! One drawback of this TARDIS is that it gets so much attention. I can't fault the TARDIS, only its popularity. People often walk in my office just to activate the pulsating blue light and hear the gentle wheezing sound. Without a single word uttered, they simply wander away after that (for that I am grateful). It truly transports people away, which was not promised or implied in the product description or else I would have purchased it sooner!Another drawback to this TARDIS is the non-infinite fuel source. The poor little battery could not last against the relentless flow of people activating the light and sound day after day. I suspect my co-worker in the office was the main killer of the battery. I would often find him standing in front of the TARDIS, just mesmerized by the hypnotic combination of the pulsating blue light and gentle wheezing sound. I had to wonder how many times he may have activated it before I walked in...Even with the unforeseen "drawbacks," I love this TARDIS and it is a great addition to my DW collection.

Sehr coole Keksdose nicht nur für Fans. Der Sound das Licht, echt super. Macht einen tollen und hochwertigen Eindruck. Der Beschenkte hat sich sehr gefreut. Den Keks Behälter im Inneren kann man zum Reinigen leicht herausnehmen. Von Innen größer als von Außen.

Ho acquistato questo oggetto di sabato, la data di arrivo era martedì e sorpresa eccolo arrivato di lunedì, un giorno prima del previsto. L'oggetto è davvero ben fatto, i dettagli sono come l'originale e la luce sul tetto è davvero simpatica così come il suono del TARDIS nella serie. Più che usarlo come contenitore per i biscotti preferisco tenerlo come oggetto da collezione sulla mia mensola.Lo consiglio per un regalo o per i fan della serie Doctor Who, chi non vorrebbe un mini TARDIS in casa?

The media could not be loaded.  Jolie boîte à gâteaux Tardis.La mienne a un petit défaut : le son et la lumière ne s'activent pas à l'ouverture de la boîte mais en appuyant sur le petit phare. Cependant je préfère ainsi.Le tardis est grand et l'intérieur aussi, on peut y mettre des stylos par exemple (moins salissant que des biscuits). Mon fils, fan de Doctor Who, adore.Le son n'est pas trop fort.
