The Illustrated Signs and Symbols Sourcebook

This is probably not the sort of book you sit and read straight through but more of a 'dipper into'. But either way, it will prove both interesting and informative. My paperback version is large (8"x11") and runs to 400+pages so is a bit hefty for bedtime reading but is worth the effort: the text is both clear and concise with neat accompanying illustrations. I am delighted with this lovely book - a birthday present - and truly enjoy my bouts of 'dipping'. Fully deserving five stars.

This is now my favourite source and book on symbols. It is a huge book with large pages. What really sets it apart is that so many of the entries are illustrated. The book is also very detailed with lots of interesting historic background and interpretations of the symbols. You can tell Adele did some serious research. I recommend this to anyone interested in symbols or sacred geometry.

Fab book, has everything i wanted and more. I showed a friend who also felt it was brilliant and shes now gone and brought one herself. I use it to just flip through or to answer specific questions. Lots of detail, good quality book stuffed full of info.

It's comprehensive with a lot of information. Hats off to the author.Only 4 stars as I found the index a tad confusing, not the easiest book to find stuff as whatever you are looking for may be on a few different pages but not necessarily mentioned in the index.

interesting read, but had expected it to be all about masonic signs and symbols which it is not. Good book though.

nice book not finished reading it yet.
