Perfect for 11year old boy or girl who enjoys football.

My nine year old grandson read "Golden Goal" at school/home, and he and I loved the story. He is football mad, so as he and I enjoyed it so much, I bought him the whole set. He has read "Kick Off" & " Shoot to win" and is now re-reading "Golden Goal" to keep the story in sequence. At the weekend, I had to stop him reading, after 10 chapters, so he could enjoy his lunch!!!! He has never before been so keen to read!!!I can highly recommend these books, if you have a football mad child, as they manage to keep them engaged through Jamie Johnson's journey, from being a youngster, to professional footballer. As a grandma, I never believed I could enjoy a football story so much. I just hope there is another set for when he completes these!!!!

Exquisite books, if you like football these books are for you. I don't see anything wrong with these books. If you were to read these books, in the first book you would see that Dan Freedman really tried hard to bring the characters to life. The only criticism I'd give the books are you can't put them down .I'd recommend these books to you. I love these books because I play football and I can imagine being in Jamie's boots. My nephew stays for sleep overs & we try to help & encourage him to do his homework & improve on his Reading & Maths... Read is a nightmare until I purchased these books. He watches the series & reads the books no trouble.Well worth a try for a none reader ...⚽️

My son would hardly read before and we bought book one alone and he couldn’t put it down. We bought this so he could follow the series and he read a book in less than a week. Great price for all books and a must read for football fans around 10 years old.

I gave this to a friend's child, who loves Football. He went from bottom of his class for reading, to Top of his class. Sparking children, needs to focus on the child's interests, not by giving them boring books, they don't want to read. Well Done Dan. MANY THANKS.
