I have thick, stubborn, curly hair, and have yet to find anything that straightens my hair as well as my Chi. With that said, this heat brush will work nicely to tame down the wave before I straighten with the Chi. "Isn't that just extra work??" you ask. Well, actually, no, it's not, and it yields much nicer results with my hair as well.Because this heat brush is cordless, I can heat it up at the same time as my straightener (our bathroom has only one set of outlets, and one of them is dedicated to my husband's electric razor). This way, I waste no time between using one tool, then the other. Secondly, this brush is much easier on my hair in terms of contact with heat, and since I can use this to do about the first half of the straightening process, I'm reducing the contact my hair has with the straightening iron by about 50%. Thirdly, this helps reduce the curl/wave in my dry hair without reducing the body, which the straightening iron DOES do. So when I'm completely finished, my hair is just as straight as before but without looking as flat.A couple of features that would improve this heat brush (and why I couldn't give 5 stars): 1. a heat styling glove would make it much easier to get the stubborn spots. 2. Show the ACTUAL temperature rather than what the temperature is set at. Several times after doing sections of my hair, I would push the temp button down and then up, only to discover that the temp had to come back up to 200 FROM 130. I understand that using the brush automatically cools it down, but knowing what the actual temp is would be useful. (Additionally, I had trouble determining whether the brush was continually heating toward the set temp or not, even when I locked the temp.) 3. A mini stand that recesses into the brush just below the bristles, so that you can heat the brush up while watching the temperature and without worrying about the surface it's on.Overall, this would be an excellent styling tool with a few improvements.

The media could not be loaded.  I was sent this product to try out, but here are some honest thoughts. I've done it all, from living in NYC, to being a busy college student, and now a busy mom. I wished I had this thing earlier in the days because I can go back to so many photos and images of myself where if I had this brush I wouldn't nixed the image because of a hair problem. Wonderful for a person always on the go, if you got off of a public commute and the wind gave you a blast--you can use this to touch up your hair!!A few notes that could change this into a 5 star review.1) I wished the battery retention increased. It's great now, but with a busy brain sometimes you might forget to charge it.2) A glove should be included, I don't use the glove myself--but it'd be nice if it was included. Just a nice product additive.Currently this brush is in my diaper bag, for when I commute to the grands household. IT's nice to do my hair in the passenger seat and not have to waste time at home doing it. 30 mins in the car? Well that's plenty of time to do my hair. So great that this brush is around! You gotta have it in your work/school/travel bag!!!

I've been using the product for weeks now and I cannot get it to actually straighten my hair. My hair is fairly grey, somewhat fine, and has only a little wave to it. I only use it at 200 degrees celsius (max heat). I have other cordless curling brushes that work well. I don't know if I have a defective unit or if it's something I'm doing. I did watch a how-to video but it didn't make any difference. It's too late to return it and I can't find a way to contact the distributor. Guess I'm stuck with the product.

I really like this straightening brush. I can use it to touch-up my hair while at work or during a girls night out and I don’t have to worry about a wall outlet. . I have naturally 4C African American hair that has been straightened with a Brazilian Blowout keratin treatment, so it still has some texture left. My hair is normally straight after flat ironing it everyday for work but after long hours and constantly manipulating my hair doing various things, I sweat heavily and my roots need help. This tool comes in handy for tending to my roots and hair shaft. I will not use this straightener alone for getting my hair straight and silky but for touch ups it is good.

I'm a frequent social dancer and, unfortunately, I sweat a lot from my head. Dwave Hair Straightening Brush gives me a quick, practical and sufficient solution. Once I comb my hair with it, the hair is dry and styled and no loger looks like I just got out of the shower. I take it with my every time I go dancing and use it anywhere since no electric socket is required. I heats quickly and to a temperature high enough to do the job. It's actually pretty decent! Now keep in mind if you have thick curly hair it isn't going to get it straight. BUT what it did do (which was my main intent) was smooth out fly aways and make my hair a bit easier to work with. I have extremely thick hair with waves and curls mixed on each layer. This little magic machine smoothed out fly aways and made my hair sleeker and smoother if not perfectly straight.It's cute, it's discreet, it fits perfectly tucked in my bag when I need to travel. Definitely recommend!!

First of all it is small and takes long time to charge. I bought it for travel but you have to make sure you charge it first thing when getting ready or you will be waiting for it to charge. Send my hair in above my shoulders this take forever. You have to use very small amount of hair . I really not sure I will keep traveling with it might just take my big one this is not great at all. Save your money don't get travel one.
