Made in the UK, use these Copper Slug and Snail Bands to protect plants in your borders / veg garden from slugs and snails. Slugs and snails hate copper, because of reaction between their mucus and the copper. When the slugs and snails come into contact with the ring they are repelled and will crawl away. Each Standard Copper Band makes a ring 7"/17cm in diameter or connect more than one band together to make larger rings. Simply curl the band around and use the slots to connect the two ends to form a ring. Slip over the plant and press lightly into the soil to form a barrier slugs and snails will not cross. Work Well
These copper bands really do keep the slugs and snails at bay...but they are flimsier than others I have bought, which makes it a bit difficult to push into our clay soil. They obviously have to be sunk below surface level a little bit or the little critters will simply crawl underneath, and this isn't easy with our hard clay soil here in Essex.

No nibbles
I'm amazed how the band's have stopped my new plants from becoming snail and slug food, no nibbles whatsoever in fact I purchased a second set, reasonably priced and they look nice to.

The rings do not work on snails
These rings did not work at all. Granted, it was snails, not slugs but as you can see from the photos they chomped through my plant in not quite 2 weeks. Even as I got rid of as many of them as I could.

Great for keeping slugs off garden plants.
I needed these copper bands for round my hostas to keep slugs out as they love hostas. It has worked. Very happy with them.
